I’m thinking about getting the Glokore Therapy Mask but can’t figure out if it’s truly wireless or if it has to stay plugged in during use. The product page mentions a connecting wire and a rechargeable system, which is confusing. I just want to know if I can walk around with it on or if I’m stuck sitting next to an outlet. Anyone who’s used it, how does the power part actually work?

The wire is only for charging, not for wearing. Mine runs about 4 sessions before it needs a top-up, so I usually just plug it in while I’m doing something else. You can definitely walk around with it on.

I keep mine on the couch stand while it runs since the strap is snug anyway, but you can definitely walk around with it. The wire only comes into play when it’s charging. Sitting by an outlet the whole session isn’t a thing unless you want it to be.

I’ve been looking at this one too and ended up messaging their support because the listing really does make it sound like you’re tethered to a cord the whole time. What they told me is that the wire is basically just for charging the control pack, and the mask itself runs off that pack once it’s topped up. So in theory you can wear it and move around, but the control pack is a separate little thing you clip on or hold, not built into the mask. That part isn’t super clear on the product page and it’s the main thing holding me back. I don’t love the idea of a dangling pack while I’m trying to do stuff around the house, even if it’s technically wireless. Curious if it actually stays put or if it’s annoying in practice.

I mostly use mine at my desk so the wire thing never really mattered to me, but I did test walking around with it once just to see. It stays on fine, the strap holds it in place, and nothing about the power forces you to sit still. For me the bigger issue is I get bored wearing it, so I end up parked somewhere anyway.

My take on the listing confusion is that they just worded it badly. It’s a rechargeable mask, the cord is for juicing it back up, not for running it. I’ve had mine a few months now and I charge it maybe once a week depending on how consistent I am with sessions. Never had it die mid-use either. So if portability is what you’re after, that part works. I just personally don’t bother pacing around the house with a glowing face on.

I got the older version of this mask last year and mine absolutely had to stay plugged in the whole time. There was no battery in the actual mask part at all, the wire ran from the mask down to a little controller thing that plugged into the wall. I remember being kinda annoyed because I wanted to fold laundry while wearing it and instead I was stuck near the outlet like a dog on a leash. Maybe they changed it on the newer model since the listing now says rechargeable, but I would not assume it works untethered just because the page is vague about it. If walking around is the main thing you care about, I would ask them directly before buying. I ended up just using mine sitting down and it was fine but not what I pictured.

Mine runs off a little controller puck that holds the charge, and the mask is tethered to that. So yeah, you can walk around, but you’re walking around with a controller in your pocket and a cord running up to your face. That’s not what I’d call wireless, that’s just untethered from the wall. I actually prefer being plugged in when I can, because the puck is always dying on me and I’ve had the lights cut out partway through a session more than once. If you want to actually move around freely during a treatment, this isn’t really the product for that. It’s more of a sit down for fifteen minutes kind of thing in my experience.

If you want my honest take, the marketing oversells the portability angle here. Just know what you’re getting.

I have the Glokore mask and use it while folding laundry or tidying up, so it’s definitely not chained to a wall outlet during a session. The mask itself runs on its own once it’s charged, and the wire is only there when you need to top it up. I usually charge mine after a couple of sessions and that’s been enough for my routine. The only thing I’d say is that the charging bit takes a while, so if you’re the type to forget, you might find yourself waiting around before a session. When I first started looking at the Glokore mask I was convinced I needed something fully wireless, like zero wires ever, because I pictured myself wandering around the house getting stuff done while it ran. I think the confusion comes from the product description throwing around “wireless” when they mean the mask isn’t plugged into the wall directly. Once I got mine I stopped caring about the wording, since sessions are only like 15 minutes anyway. I usually just sit on the couch and scroll my phone. If you genuinely want to walk around doing chores with it on, that’s where it might bug you a bit. Otherwise it’s fine.
