I’m actually the opposite of most people here. I took mine to a marsh area in early summer and it did next to nothing for me. The light was nice and bright, don’t get me wrong, but I was still swatting stuff off my arms while sitting a few feet away from it. I think the whole repellent thing is way more subtle than people expect, like it might make the bugs less attracted to the light itself, but it didn’t create any kind of bubble around me. I even had it hanging right next to my chair and I still got bit. I ended up using it as a regular lantern and relying on my usual spray for the actual protection. It’s a fine light, but I wouldn’t even call it a backup repellent, at least not in my experience. Maybe it works better in a drier area, but I wouldn’t risk a buggy weekend on it.
Mine’s been on for about five months and the shower glass still gets spotty, so I would not buy it for limescale.
For a 10 square meter room, I’d say it’s borderline but probably okay for what you’re describing. I use mine in a similar sized space and it does keep a light breeze going through the night, but I wouldn’t call it powerful. If you’re someone who needs strong airflow to fall asleep, this might leave you wanting more.

The first couple of days it felt like the other person was just staring at me and I didn’t know what to do with my face, but now I use it as a little beat to nod or react before the translation comes through.
I’ve also noticed it depends a lot on who I’m talking to. With some people, they get thrown off by the gap and start repeating themselves or talking louder, which makes it worse. But other people just roll with it and it flows way better. I think part of it is just finding the right rhythm with the person on the other end.
