If the air’s already heavy, the ice is basically a waste of time. I still run mine because I like having the airflow pointed at me while I work, but I don’t expect it to actually cool anything. It’s just a fan at that point.
If you’re parked at a desk, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. The strap does what it needs to do for that kind of setup. Just don’t expect it to be a miracle worker if you start twisting around a lot.
Honestly, I wouldn’t assume it’ll fit just because some random person’s cheap saw worked. Chain sizes vary more than people admit. If yours is really narrow, you’re probably better off measuring it first instead of gambling on a product page.
Honestly, I’d rather have it a bit stiff than too loose. A pin that pulls too easy could pop out by accident in a bag or something.
Old wiring or new, it’s still just a plug-in box. I really doubt the age of the copper matters much to it.

Alright, I read through a few of these. Seems like the zones handle bigger stuff fine but a thin branch is a crapshoot. That’s pretty much what I figured. I’ll probably just adjust the camera angle or deal with the false alerts.
I think it stays on all the time, yeah. That’s kind of the point of having a digital screen. Might be a bit bright in a dark bedroom but you could probably just face it away from the bed or something.
I wouldn’t trust them for neck use if you’re moving around. The pads are fine for sitting still but they’re not magic. I’d just hold the thing in place with one hand if you’re that worried.
It makes some noise, but it’s not like a loud fan or anything. If you’re really sensitive to hums it might bug you, but I forget about it after a few minutes.
Moisture is probably fine as long as you’re not dunking the thing in water. I’d be more annoyed if the tip-over shutoff is sensitive enough to kill it every time you bump into it. Seems like a gamble either way.
Can’t say I’ve measured it exactly, but it definitely seems to go down faster when it’s hooked up to the TV. I’d just keep it plugged in if you’re already sitting there.
I think maybe it depends on what you call a breeze. I had mine out on a night that felt windier than I expected and it moved around more than I wanted. Might have been how I tied it though, I didn’t really bother checking it after setting it up.
Mine’s lasted through a full wash without crapping out. Not like I was timing it, but it didn’t die halfway or anything. Probably fine unless you’re washing a bus.
I’m sure it’ll move some dust around, but 15 minutes of runtime sounds like a pain if you’re trying to do a whole shop.
Honestly, it’s probably not a big deal. Any class 10 card should be fine, even a budget one. I wouldn’t bother digging out some ancient card though, just grab a new one and you’re set.
