If I had that moss problem on a driveway I’d just grab the wire head and be done with it instead of fighting with line. I used mine on a brick walkway last month and it took the moss down to the surface without much fuss. It does leave the bricks looking a bit scuffed after, so keep that in mind if the concrete finish matters to you.
I got one of these a few months back and the power setup confused me too at first. Mine came with a little rechargeable controller puck that the mask plugs into, so it’s not truly wireless in the sense of having no wires at all. You charge the controller separately, then when you wear the mask there’s a short cord running from the mask down to the controller. I usually just stick the controller in my pocket or clip it somewhere and it’s fine.
I will say the battery on the controller isn’t endless. I get maybe a handful of sessions before I need to plug the controller itself into a charger, but during an actual session you’re not tethered to a wall outlet. So you can walk around the house doing stuff while wearing it, you just have that small controller hanging off you somewhere. Storing it is easy since everything folds up small. That’s honestly the part I care about most since my bathroom counter is already crowded.
I usually stick mine in the bathroom when I sleep since I need actual silence in the bedroom. The unit itself is fine, it’s just that any little motor hum gets under my skin once I’m trying to drift off.
I poked around the folders on mine one weekend and it wasn’t too bad, though I just copied a couple of old favorites over and left the rest alone. It worked fine for me, but I only tried it the once and haven’t messed with it since.
I’ve had better luck judging it by how the surface looks rather than counting seconds. When it starts to go from that wet shiny spray look to a slightly hazy film, that’s usually my cue to grab the microfiber. If I wait until it looks totally chalky, it turns into more of a rubbing job than a buffing job. One thing that helped me was doing it in the shade instead of direct sun. In the sun it seemed to flash off way faster and got sticky before I even got to it. In the garage I could take my time a bit more and it wiped off cleaner. The 3 minute thing is probably just a rough guide for average conditions. Also I noticed a little goes a long way, I was overspraying at first and that just made more residue to deal with.
I have the DappSmile and used a cheap metal pick before that. The biggest difference for me is actually the storage and charging side of it, since the little case keeps everything together in a drawer instead of losing tips everywhere. Cleaning wise it does fine for the stuff I can see, but I still book a real cleaning once a year anyway.
The handle is the part that changes things, not the steel. I keep mine out of the sink entirely and just wipe it down after a wash, which is easy enough if you already hand dry your knives.
Motion detect definitely eats more than idle, but I wouldn’t say it forces a nightly charge unless your place is busy. I had mine running near my workbench over a weekend and it lasted until Monday evening before I bothered plugging it in. If you’re getting constant triggers, expect the lower end, but a couple days is realistic.
I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. These remotes are tougher than the price tag suggests. I’ve knocked mine around plenty and it holds up fine. If it’s still responding and holding a charge after drying off, you’re probably good to go for a while. Just don’t make a habit of leaving it out in the rain.
I just keep mine plugged in by the front door so I remember to grab it when I leave. Honestly, the lack of a timer works fine for me since I only turn it on when I’m sitting there. If I forget it, that’s on me, not the heater.
I got mine mostly for travel coffee but ended up using it for shakes more than I expected. The trick is not to fill it all the way to the top, leaves a little room for the stirring to actually move things around. Mine comes out smooth enough that I stopped shaking it by hand.
I set mine up on a table at the edge of my patio and it picked up my neighbor’s dog from across the lawn without me touching it. It just sits there and does its thing when the barking starts. The 10 meter claim seems about right from my experience, so you probably won’t need to babysit it.
I don’t track the hours on mine but the battery is not something I think about much. I wear them for a few hours in the afternoon while working in the garage or running errands, and I can go several days before I remember to toss them on the charger. It’s pretty forgiving if you forget.
It’s basically required if you want to see what you’re filming. I flew mine once without the phone just to see, and you’re completely blind. You can still record, but it’s a guessing game. Just plan on bringing your phone every time.
Foam getting close to the overflow gave me a mini heart attack the first time too. But that’s what it’s supposed to do, I think. I just make sure to run the hot water for a good minute after it settles so it all gets pushed through.
I wore mine under a pair of work pants for about a week and the bulk was never really the problem. The straps are what got on my nerves after a few hours, just a little extra thickness around the thigh that I could feel when sitting down. If you’re used to wearing knee sleeves it’s not a big deal, but I wouldn’t call it invisible.

The spinning head does most of the work, you just have to hold it steady and let it sit in one spot for a few seconds. Took a couple passes on the worst corners but it beat scrubbing by hand.
Mine does the same thing. I figured it was just the internal switch or something doing its job when the power cuts. Noticed it once or twice but it never really stuck out as a problem. Unless it starts getting louder or sounds off, I wouldn’t think twice about it.
I’ve seen a couple people using them in my office and they seem to keep the person happy enough. Not a full AC replacement but for a desk setup it’s probably better than just a fan.
I just checked my box and yeah, there are three sizes in there. I have pretty standard ears so I didn’t even look at the small ones, but they’re definitely included.
I wouldn’t stress about it too much. I can change settings from my desk without any problem and it’s not like I’m sitting right on top of it.
I get a solid 5 days out of mine with everything on, so 6 isn’t totally out of reach if you’re not obsessively checking the app. Plenty good enough for me, I just throw it on the charger when I shower and it’s fine.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the exact timing. I plug mine in when I sit down and by the time I’m settled it’s already blowing warm air. Does the job for my space.
Pretty sure it’s just standard AAs, nothing weird. I’ve seen a few people mention battery life differences with cheap ones but honestly I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. Grab whatever’s convenient and you’ll be fine.
