Maybe try recording them sleeping for a night on your phone so you can play it to a doctor. Not totally sure, but hearing the gasps usually makes it easier to explain what’s going on.
I upgraded last year and it was worth it for me. The extra padding and pockets made travel less fiddly and I stopped digging for cords every time. Downsides are it’s a bit bulkier to stash, but I don’t regret it.
I think swapping to an ergonomic neck pillow helped me on long desk sessions, not a miracle but the nagging stiffness eased a bit. Small practical thing: get one that packs small, I keep mine on my office chair and toss it in my backpack for commutes.
Straps hold up pretty well for me; they usually stay put for the full 10 to 20 minute session, just a tiny nudge if I shift around. Not flawless but totally fine for travel.
