That’s odd, mine have been pretty solid on calls so far. I’ve taken them on a few busier walks and nobody has complained about noise, so maybe yours are picking up something specific or you got a dud pair.

I have mine in a room that turns into a small oven around 4 pm and it does fine for what it is. It won’t freeze the room like central air, but it definitely keeps it from becoming unbearable. I wasn’t expecting miracles with a wall unit, but it pulls its weight.

I found that the repellent part works best when you stay within a few meters of the light. It is not some bubble that covers the whole campsite, that’s for sure. I had mine hanging near my chair and that area was fine, but walk past the cooler and it was like the thing did not exist. It does the job for the immediate zone, nothing more.

Adding ROMs is pretty straightforward on these kinds of devices. Most of them just want you to drop files into the right folder on the SD card, so it’s more of a drag and drop situation than anything complicated.

The preloaded stuff is decent for a quick pick up and play session, but I would not base the purchase on that alone. As long as you are comfortable finding your own game files, you will be fine.

I think it depends a bit on what you’re used to carrying around. It’s not what I’d call heavy, but it’s also not like holding a spray bottle. The main unit has some weight to it, and when you add water in the hose or bucket setup, it does feel more substantial after a while.

I carried mine around my driveway and around the side of the house without really thinking about it. But if I were doing a full patio plus furniture in one go, I’d probably want to take a quick break halfway. The grip is comfortable enough that you’re not constantly readjusting, which helps more than you’d think.

For a cordless thing, I’d say it’s about what you’d expect for something with a battery and a motor inside. Not a brick, but not featherlight either. If you’re doing quick jobs here and there, you won’t notice. If you’re planning on an hour of continuous cleaning, your arm might start talking to you.

I would just grab one before the camera gets there. It’s one of those things where if it does come with one, you’re not out much since you’ll probably need a bigger card eventually anyway.

I actually like that it doesn’t always match my mood. For me it’s been a better early warning system than how I feel in the moment. There’s been a few times where it flagged high stress and I brushed it off, then crashed a day later. I treat it more like a background clue than something to check when I’m already worked up.

Mine felt heavier in the hand until I loosened my grip, then it evened out.

The one-pull thing depends a lot on what you’re dealing with. If it’s a small object that’s not wedged in too tight, yeah, it can clear it fast. Bigger or softer stuff might take a couple of tries. We keep one in the car and one in the kitchen, but I’d never expect it to be a single guaranteed pull every time.

Honestly I’d say just grab a cheap one regardless. These handhelds usually come with that thin plastic film that’s more for keeping the screen clean in the box than surviving daily use. I learned that the hard way with a different console years ago, so now I just assume I need to buy my own.

I think the battery dying is probably the bigger issue than heat if you’re going for a few hours straight. Mine has gotten noticeably warm to the touch but never enough to worry me, it just drains pretty fast when it’s recording nonstop.

Makes sense, figured it was probably something like that. Good to know it’s not just mine being weird. I’ll give it a few more runs and see if it clears up.
