I actually prefer mine up on the counter rather than the floor, mostly because I don’t like bending down to mess with the controls. It’s been up there a few months and I haven’t had any problems, splash zone or not. Floor space in my bathroom is basically nonexistent anyway.
Mine cuts out in the car wash too, not just tunnels. It’s just the signal getting blocked, nothing to fix. I still keep the phone mount visible so I know which way to turn when it comes back.
Eh, I wouldn’t rely on a reset button as proof of anything. Half the cords out there have one and it’s just for the plug, not the person holding the trimmer. What a GFCI actually does is cut power the second current starts leaking somewhere it shouldn’t, like through you standing in wet grass. That’s the whole point of it.
I picked up a pair of translation earbuds before a trip to Japan last spring, mostly because I got tired of holding my phone out in front of people like I was taking a photo of them. The first few days I was pretty skeptical. Standing in a busy train station trying to ask about a platform change, I kept waiting for the awkward pause, but it kind of just flowed. I’d say something, the person would hear it in their ear, they’d answer, and it came back to me. Not perfect, but way less weird than shoving a screen at a stranger.
The thing that surprised me was how much I used them for dumb little stuff. Ordering at a counter, asking where the bathroom was, that kind of thing. After about a week I stopped thinking about the tech and just talked. I still had my old handheld in my bag as a backup and honestly barely touched it. The earbuds weren’t magic, there were a couple of times I had to repeat myself when it was noisy, but for basic travel stuff it did the job.
If you’re only doing directions and food, the natural back and forth is the main draw. Passing a device around always made me feel like I was interviewing the other person.
Mine’s been on since March and I just did the hand tight plus a firm nudge with the wrench thing. Still solid, no wobble at all. I check it whenever I swap the spool anyway so it’s not like extra work.
I came from an old voice translator too and honestly the biggest difference for me wasn’t the offline accuracy, it was just having the earbuds in my ears instead of passing a gadget back and forth. That part alone made me use it way more.
But offline specifically, mine did something I didn’t expect. I tested it on a train with no signal and it handled a short back and forth fine, then completely blanked on a word my friend said in her dialect. Online it caught it no problem. So it’s not that offline is useless, it’s more like it only knows the clean version of a language.
I still keep both modes ready depending on where I am. If I’m somewhere with solid data I don’t even think about offline. It’s mainly for dead zones or when I don’t want to burn roaming.
The beep alone is not what makes a recall work, it’s the training behind it. I’ve seen people rely on beep mode and their dogs just ignore it once there’s something better to chase. If you haven’t built that association solid, the beep is basically background noise.
When I moved with my cat, the hiding part lasted way longer than the actual adjustment part. She was under the couch for almost a week but was totally fine once she started coming out at night to explore. I just kept her food and litter in the same spots and let her do her thing.
I actually think people make too big a deal out of fan noise in bedrooms. I’ve slept with a standing fan going for years and the CoolCove on low honestly blends into that same kind of background sound for me. It’s not dead silent but it’s not distracting either.

I did a whole stretch along the back wall without my forearm cramping up, which honestly was never the case before.
That said, the “boost pressure” wording is doing a lot of work. It’s not magic. You still have the same hose and the same tap behind it. If your water pressure at the spigot is weak, this isn’t going to fix that. Mine is fine, so the difference is noticeable but not dramatic.
I’ve used it maybe six or seven times since spring, hose stays connected, no drama. It’s just a nozzle that happens to feel better than the one I had. If you’re expecting a pressure washer, you’ll be disappointed. If you just want something that doesn’t fight you while you rinse the patio, it’s fine for that.
Mine worked fine with tap water for the first few weeks, then the cooling got weaker until I realized I hadn’t rinsed the little tank in a while. Once I cleaned it out it was back to normal. So it’s not really the water temp that got me, it was the maintenance part.
I’ve had mine for a few months and I do change the settings depending on what I’m working on. Metal takes way more patience than wood, that’s just how it goes. The tip swap helps but the speed of your hand matters more honestly.
I picked up a bottle mainly for some scuffs on my old Civic and honestly the scratch side is fine for what it is. But the UV thing I mostly ignored until I noticed something random. My neighbor has the same car in the same color and parks outside all day too, and his hood has that chalky faded look while mine still looks halfway decent after a year or so. Could be a bunch of other stuff though, wax, washing habits, whatever. I’m not saying NuraFix is some sun shield. It’s probably more about how often you redo it than anything in the formula. I still give mine a quick pass every couple months just because it’s cheap and takes five minutes. If the paint fades anyway, oh well.
Weak tap isn’t automatically a dealbreaker. My parents’ place has terrible outdoor pressure and the Jetterix still blasts the green stuff off their walkway fine. It’s not a pressure washer but it’s way better than a plain nozzle. If yours barely rinsed loose dirt, something else is off.
I keep mine in a back bedroom that gets cold and it does fine as long as I shut the door. Whole point is heating the space you’re actually in. Wouldn’t expect it to fight a room with a window cracked open or anything.
I ran into the same thing when I first tried mine, the included mounts just don’t sit right on a helmet. I ended up using one of those sticky pads from a cheap phone holder I had, and it’s been solid for months of riding.
Mine’s been plugged in for about five months and I haven’t touched the cord once. I really don’t think these things wear out as fast as people make it sound. If it’s still working, it’s still working.
I usually run them at pretty low volume and I got around 40ish hours total before the case died. That’s with ANC off most of the time though. The 50 number is probably best case scenario.
I get why people assume the trees and shed will kill the signal, but I don’t think it’s as bad as you’d expect. Mine reaches my detached garage and the little strip of grass behind it, and that’s with a fence and a bunch of junk in the way. That spot is nowhere near 400m of course, but it’s also not the dead zone I figured it would be. The signal seems to cut through thin stuff better than it cuts around solid walls. So I’d say test your actual yard before writing it off, because the layout matters more than the number on the box. If your shed is metal or your trees are packed tight, sure, that’s a different story. Otherwise it’ll probably do what you need.
I used two in my garage last fall and they lasted about three weeks before I stopped noticing them. The one I put in the pantry is a different story though, that one hung in there for close to a month. So I don’t think it’s really about the garage being cooler or warmer, it’s more about how much open air is moving around. My garage has a drafty side door and I’m pretty sure that’s what killed the scent faster. The pantry is closed up so the smell just sits there. If yours is in a spot with any kind of breeze or airflow, I’d just plan on swapping closer to the three week mark instead of waiting for the full four.
I’d just hold the volume down before launching a game, that’s usually enough for me. If it doesn’t hit zero, I’d use headphones and leave one earbud out. Not ideal, but it gets the job done on a bus.
Mine definitely hits my upper back when it slides down a bit, and honestly that’s where I get the most out of it since my traps are always tight from desk work. I just let it sit wherever it lands instead of adjusting it back up.
Mine actually felt harder to use than the twist handle for the first week or so, mostly because I kept gripping it too tight out of habit. Once I loosened up it got easier, but I wouldn’t say it’s a massive difference honestly. It’s just a different motion more than anything.
I use mine for both and protein shakes come out way smoother than I expected. Matcha is fine too, no gritty texture for me at least. It’s not a blender though, so don’t expect it to fix big clumps if you dump everything in at once.
I’d just look at the actual offline menu on the device before trusting any list. Mine showed way fewer options once I turned data off, so the 68 number is really the online side. Doesn’t make it a bad buy, just don’t count on every language working with no signal.
Mine’s been on my case for like two months now and it hasn’t budged, even with keys and coins in the same pocket. I stuck it on the flat underside instead of the curved part though, so that probably helps. Fits fine for me.
