I’d rather just grab a dedicated headlight kit and leave NuraFix for paint stuff.

I actually think the firmness gets way too much attention. I’m a side sleeper and mine felt fine right away, like it was supporting my neck without feeling like a rock. I didn’t have to wait for anything to soften up. It just worked from night one for me.

I never had the old Tile so I can’t compare directly, but I do think the iTagPro sounds a bit muffled if that makes sense? Like it’s loud enough but the tone isn’t as sharp as I expected. Took me a couple tries to locate it under a pile of laundry the other day.

Rain on the glass itself is always going to be its own thing, but I found mine does help a bit with the blur of the drops and the lights hitting them. In heavier rain it felt like the lenses were doing the heavy lifting for the road glare while the wipers handled the windshield.

I use mine twice a week and honestly that’s been enough for me to notice my skin looking a bit more even. I also like that it forces me to actually sit still for 15 minutes. If you’re consistent with the twice a week thing, I think you’ll be fine.

I think it depends on what you mean by “enough.” For my space, the low setting is all I ever use, even on sticky nights. I like that I don’t have to listen to a loud motor while I’m trying to fall asleep, but I also keep it pretty close to the bed. If you’re planning to mount it across the room, you might feel the difference.

I skip the ice and honestly don’t feel like I’m missing much. The regular mist still cools down my little corner of the room fine, especially if I use cold tap water. Refreezing packs just feels like extra work for a temporary boost.

I actually found it tiring after about ten minutes, but it wasn’t the weight that bothered me. My arm just got bored holding it in the same position while I was trying to blow out the carport. It’s fine for a quick sweep, but if you’re planning on doing everything in one go, you might want to take breaks.

Older outlets can be finicky about anything that pulls a steady load, even at 800W. I’ve seen similar things with other heaters in my building. It might not be the heater itself, just the wiring in that particular wall.

I wouldn’t overthink the direction too much, but I also wouldn’t just shove it in the ground and forget it. I had mine sitting on a low wall near the veggie patch, not aimed at anything specific, and it seemed to do the job fine for keeping birds off that side. The solar panel is the part that actually needs to face the sun, so that’s where I’d pay attention. If the panel is in shade most of the day, the battery runs down and the thing stops doing anything at night, which is when you usually need it. I found that out the hard way after a week of it sitting under a bush. So yeah, angle it so the top gets decent sunlight and you’re probably good. The sensor itself never seemed that fussy in my case.

I just plugged mine into an outlet in the hallway and never really thought about the breaker box thing. It’s been there for a couple months now and I haven’t noticed any reason to move it closer. I figure if it was going to make a huge difference, I’d have seen something by now.

in reply to: Using my UV-C bottle for gym and weekend hikes #6693

I think it really depends on what kind of trip you’re doing. For a weekend hike where I’m just filling up from a stream or a tap I don’t fully trust, the UV part gives me a little peace of mind. But for a longer trip or a flight, I’d probably leave it at home.

The weight thing is real. It’s not heavy, but it’s not nothing either. When I’m packing for a few days I start counting grams and the regular insulated bottle usually wins. Plus, I don’t love the idea of needing to find a charger halfway through a trip. I’ve had enough moments where I forgot to charge something and it died at the worst time.

That said, the no-smell thing is the main reason I keep using it. I’ve had other bottles get that sour smell after a day or two, and the self-clean mode actually fixes that. For gym use it’s perfect because I can just leave it in my bag and not worry about it getting gross.

If I was doing a long trip with actual questionable water sources, I’d probably bring it anyway and just deal with the charging. But for normal weekend stuff, I’d rather save the space and bring something lighter. I guess it depends on how much you care about the sterilization part versus just keeping the bottle fresh.
