I’ve used mine on the living room windows a few times and it’s been fine for the most part. The spray pattern holds up pretty well as long as I keep the nozzle moving at a steady pace. It’s not like a laser beam or anything, but it’s definitely more controlled than just splashing water around with a regular hose.
The one thing I noticed is that the very top edge of the glass can get a bit more misty than the rest. Not dripping or running down the pane, just a fine spray that settles there. I figured out it’s because I tend to angle the wand slightly upward without realizing it. When I keep it level, it’s pretty even across the whole window.
I also use it on the balcony glass panels and that’s where it actually shines. The lower pressure setting is plenty for that, and I don’t end up with water bouncing back at me or spraying sideways onto the floor. I think the mess factor mostly comes down to how you hold it and how far away you are. I keep it maybe a foot or so from the surface and it does what it’s supposed to do.
I wouldn’t call it perfect, but I also wouldn’t say it’s messy. You might get a little overspray if you’re not paying attention, but that’s probably true for any pressure washer. For a quick clean without dragging out a bucket and squeegee, it gets the job done without making a huge puddle everywhere.
Jaw weirdness is kind of a given with these things, honestly. The first couple nights felt like my bite was off but that faded. As for slipping, mine stayed put all night and I move plenty. I’d say the bigger question is whether you can handle the feeling of it in your mouth at all.
Honestly I’ve had the opposite experience. Mine has never missed a connect since I set it up, even after the car sits for a week. Sounds like yours might have a quirk or maybe a weak moment with the car’s USB port.
The price difference is pretty easy to justify for me. I ran mine in the living room after my dog had an accident on the rug, and just being able to set it and walk away without worrying about when to turn it off was the whole selling point. I don’t think I’d go back to the old setup.
I’ve had the opposite experience from some people here, I guess. I tried using mine with a bucket a few times and honestly it was more hassle than it was worth for me. The first time I set it up, I figured it would be fine since the whole selling point is that it can pull from standing water. It did spray, sure, but the flow felt weaker and it kept pulsing, like it was struggling to keep a steady draw. I had to stop a couple times to make sure the filter wasn’t sitting too flat against the bottom.
I think part of my problem was the bucket itself. I was using one of those smaller round ones, not a big flat-bottomed container, so the water level dropped fast and the intake started sucking air pretty quickly. I ended up having to top it off halfway through washing my wheels, which got annoying. I can see it working better if you have a big bucket or maybe one of those tall utility tubs, but with a regular household bucket I just didn’t enjoy it.
For me, the whole reason to grab this thing is the portability, and if I’m already dragging a bucket around, I might as well just use a regular hose when I can. I still use it for stuff like cleaning the trash cans or the patio furniture where I’m close to a spigot, but for the car I’ll just wait until I can park near the hose. It’s not a bad tool, but the bucket setup didn’t click for me the way it seems to for others.
Mine fogged up pretty bad on the first beach trip, then never again after that. I think it just depends on the humidity and how quickly you move between AC and the water. I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Battery life is one of those things that depends a lot on how you actually use it. I took mine on a weekend city break and found it pretty manageable, but I wasn’t using it constantly. I’d pull it out for quick exchanges with shopkeepers or when asking directions, maybe five minutes at a time, and it easily got me through the whole day.
The thing that drains it fast is if you leave it sitting on the table and keep having longer conversations. I did a few back and forth chats that went a couple minutes each and I could see the battery drop noticeably. By the end of a full day with moderate use I was down to maybe half or a bit less. I didn’t need a power bank, but I also wasn’t testing it with heavy use.
If you’re someone who’ll be talking a lot, I’d say throw a small power bank in your bag just for peace of mind. Better than having it die mid-conversation.
