Daily scans plus the handle probably lands you around six to eight weeks between charges, give or take. The 180 days is likely for people doing a quick weigh in now and then, not a full scan every morning. If you’re okay plugging it in every month or two, it’s not a big deal.
Offline mode on these is decent but it’s not why I keep them. I still use mine mostly with a connection since that’s where the translation actually feels smooth. For travel I’d just download the packs and treat offline as backup, not the main plan.
I’d just look up the Android version the app needs and compare it to what your phone is running before buying anything. That’s the one thing that’ll actually tell you if it’s a no-go. If your phone’s too far behind, no amount of hoping will make it install.
I compared my wrist tracker to a chest strap for about a month and the deep sleep numbers were pretty far apart most nights. The wrist one would show a solid deep sleep block when the strap showed barely any. I still use the wrist one since it’s comfortable, but I don’t trust the stage breakdown much anymore.
The thing that finally worked for mine was a bird feeder suction cupped to the outside of the window. She’ll park there for hours just watching. Doesn’t take up any floor space either, which was my whole problem.
I actually don’t think the offline thing is as sketchy as this thread makes it sound. I used mine at my parents’ place out in the sticks where cell service is basically nonexistent, and it handled a whole dinner conversation with my aunt who only speaks Portuguese. No dropouts, no “please connect to the internet” nonsense. I had downloaded the pack weeks earlier, forgot I even did it, and it just worked.
Maybe I got lucky, or maybe the languages people are trying are the problem. I only needed one, so I can’t say how it holds up across a bunch of them. But the idea that it’s pure marketing fluff doesn’t match what I saw. It’s not some tiny gimmick that dies the second you lose bars.
I’d just try one language you actually need before writing the whole feature off. If that one works, you’re probably fine. If it doesn’t, then yeah, return it.
I don’t wear glasses either and mine have been fine on their own. The over-glasses thing is just there for people who need it, doesn’t make them weird without. I use mine mainly for glare on rainy days and they do the job.

I just leave mine on auto and charge it maybe twice a week, no big deal. The battery thing worried me at first too but it hasn’t been an issue in practice.
I haven’t tried the full 400 obviously, but mine reaches the back corner of my lot without issues and that’s about 120 feet with a woodpile and some bushes in between. Good enough for what I need. If your dog is a bolter though you might want to be closer anyway.
I actually noticed a difference with mine, but not in the direction people usually ask about. My pressure went up a bit after swapping it on, enough that I had to angle the head differently. That said, my old head was probably half clogged, so who knows.
I’ve had suction mounts leave that ring on two different cars, so it’s not just the DashOne. In my case it wasn’t residue at all, it was the glass itself being slightly different under the cup, and no cleaner touched it. It didn’t get worse over time though.
I’d just grab whichever listing shows the case in the photos, otherwise you’re rolling the dice. Mine came with one but I’ve seen the same camera sold without it too.

Honestly I’ve had the opposite experience. Mine has never missed a connect since I set it up, even after the car sits for a week. Sounds like yours might have a quirk or maybe a weak moment with the car’s USB port.
