So I get that the Glokore Filtered Showerhead uses water pressure and no battery, but does it actually need strong pressure to filter properly? My building’s pressure is fine but not amazing, and I don’t want to install something that barely works. If the pressure drops a bit during peak hours, does the filtration still do its thing or does it just become a regular showerhead? Not trying to overthink it, just want to know if it’s worth it when the pressure isn’t perfect.

Mine filters fine even when the pressure dips in the evening. I think people expect the water to slow to a trickle once the filter kicks in but it really doesn’t.

I would go ahead and install it. We have decent but not great pressure in our apartment, and the Glokore has been fine for the last few months. It is not like the filter needs a minimum pressure to activate or anything. It is just a passive thing the water runs through, so as long as water is coming out, it is getting filtered.

The only thing I noticed is that when pressure drops, the whole shower feels weaker, but that is true with any showerhead. It is not the filter suddenly giving up. I have taken showers at like 6am and then again around 8pm when everyone in the building seems to be using water, and honestly the difference is just how strong the spray feels. The water still smells less like chlorine either way, so I figure the filtration is still doing something.

If your pressure is truly bad, like barely a trickle, then sure, you might not love any showerhead. But if it is just “fine but not amazing,” I would not expect the Glokore to make it worse. It is not one of those filters that chokes the flow down to nothing. I have had zero issues with it feeling like a normal shower, and I am not someone who wants to stand under a sad little drizzle every morning. So yeah, I would just try it and see how it goes.

Pressure is what pushes water through the filter, so if it’s weak you get weak flow. Mine dropped noticeably during peak hours, filter or not. I haven’t seen anything proving it stops filtering, but low pressure plus a filter isn’t a great combo.
