I’d grab them if you deal with that harsh afternoon sun very often. I keep a pair in the door pocket and use them most days from spring through fall. They cut the sting from reflected light off the hood and bright lanes. For me it’s less about safety and more that my eyes aren’t tired after an hour on the highway.
Mine definitely got more noticeable once I dropped everything else in the room. It’s the same sound, just no background noise covering it up. I ended up moving mine to the far corner and that made it fine for me.
Birds have never been the reason I keep mine around, so I don’t really pay attention to whether they care or not. My main thing is that the battery just keeps going on solar without me messing with it, which is what I actually wanted. If the birds bug you that much, maybe this just isn’t the tool for that.
Mine went on a basic apartment arm without any adapter, so you should be fine if it’s the usual setup. Took me like two minutes with the tape they toss in the box. Only thing I noticed is it sits a little low, but that’s just my arm angle, not the threads.
Mine’s on a case that’s rounded on the back and it’s been stuck for maybe two months now. The sticker is smaller than the case itself so it’s not like it’s hanging off the edges. It’s fine if you just want something on there, but I wouldn’t expect much from it.
Honestly I’d skip it if the chlorine smell is your main problem. A shower filter only does so much with what’s already coming through your pipes. I had similar water and mine barely touched the smell, it just made it slightly less sharp. You’d probably get more out of fixing the water at the source or just airing out the bathroom after.
It works okay for a broad area, but I would not call it accurate. I have had mine show the right building while the card was in a coat pocket, and other times it puts me a street over when it is in my car. Good enough for a general idea, not for finding the exact spot.
I’ve used mine with heavier shakes and it gets the job done. No lumps floating around, but it’s not going to make it super smooth either. Good enough for me since I’m usually drinking it on the way to work anyway.
Mine was fine from night one, but I’ve also used a memory foam pillow before so maybe I was used to the feel. The shape still took a couple of days to get used to though. If you’re not waking up stiff, I’d say that’s a good sign already.
I’ve worn mine through some pretty long days and honestly I don’t notice it getting especially warm. Maybe I just don’t run hot or my knee is used to it, but it hasn’t been an issue for me. It’s not like it’s freezing, but I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable either.
I usually wait until the grill is off but still radiating heat, maybe 5-10 minutes after cooking. It doesn’t need to be scorching, just warm enough that the grease hasn’t re-solidified. The brush head is stainless steel so I don’t see how a warm grate would hurt it. I’ve done this for a couple months now and no issues.
Honestly I think a lot of the “it slides off” stuff comes from people expecting it to stay put like a backpack while they’re walking around doing chores or whatever. I use mine when I’m parked at my desk or leaning back on the couch and it stays fine without me holding it. The strap does its job if you actually tighten it.
But I also get why some people struggle with it. If you’re shifting around a lot, leaning forward to grab something, or trying to wear it while standing and moving, yeah it’s gonna shift. It’s not magic. I found that once I stopped treating it like something I could wear while cooking dinner or whatever, it was fine. I just sit still for the 12 minutes and let it do its thing. The cordless part is nice because I can get up and grab a drink without unstrapping it, but I do have to readjust when I sit back down. That’s not a dealbreaker for me though.
I’d say if you’re the type of person who can sit still for a few minutes, you’ll be fine. If you’re planning to wear it while doing other stuff, you’re gonna be disappointed. I think a lot of the videos you see where it’s sliding around are people who are fidgeting or moving around too much. It’s a massager, not a piece of clothing.
I got mine for the same reason, heavy fish user here. I will say the smell does fade but it takes a couple of extra minutes of rinsing compared to what the ads show. It’s not magic, but it’s way better than my old plastic board ever was.
I was pretty convinced this thing just wasn’t meant for glass when I first got mine. I tried it on the living room windows early on and got that same cloudy look you are describing. It bugged me for a bit, then I just moved on and used it for the fence and the walkway.
But then a couple of weeks ago I had the hose out anyway and figured I would give the windows another shot. I think the difference was I stopped trying to get the glass super clean in one pass. I used a wider spray and kept the nozzle moving a lot faster than I do on the patio. That film basically disappeared. I honestly think I was just holding it in one spot too long and letting the water sit and dry weird.
The car windows still give me a little trouble if the sun is beating down on them. I will say that. But the house windows are fine now that I changed how I move my hand. I would not call it a streak-free miracle tool or anything, but it is not as bad as I first thought. I just had to adjust what I was expecting from it.
I’ve had mine for a couple months now and I do swim with it, but not laps. I’m more of a pool floater, honestly. I’ve been in the water with it maybe a dozen times, including some chlorinated pools and it’s been fine. No fogging on the inside, no sensor issues, battery still lasts the same. I do give it a quick rinse under the tap afterwards just because I figure chlorine isn’t great for anything long term. I can’t speak to the 50m thing because I’m never that deep, but for normal swimming and splashing around it does what it says. I’d say if you’re just doing regular pool sessions, you’re probably fine. I wouldn’t take it diving or anything, but that’s not what I bought it for anyway.
I think some delay is just part of how these things go. Mine will sometimes ping me after the bird’s already been at the feeder for a bit. I don’t really mind it, since I mostly check the recordings anyway. The live view is more of a bonus for me.
Mine relaxed a bit after the first month, but the real change was just getting used to the pressure. The material didn’t give a ton, I just stopped noticing it as much. It’s still snug, which I figure is kind of the point.
If the passport is staying in the RFID holder the whole time, I’d say skip the Guardality. You’re already covered for the one thing you’re worried about. The card makes more sense if you want to protect other cards in a wallet that doesn’t have built-in blocking. You’re not missing out on anything if you go without it.
I’d probably just slow down my own speech a bit and treat it like talking to someone who needs a second to process. That way the pause feels less awkward and more natural. It’s not perfect but it makes the whole thing less stressful.
I just got one for my little electric saw and it worked fine. Didn’t have to mess around with it much.
