Just assume the policy is garbage until proven otherwise. I check the return page first, not the product page. If the window is under 30 days and they want it sealed, I’m out.
The arms are what got me. Mine clamped down on the sides of my frames after about twenty minutes and I had to keep taking them off at red lights. Lens distance wasn’t the problem, the squeeze was.
It’s a space heater with a fancy wall mount, so it behaves like one. Mine gets my office from freezing to tolerable in about half an hour, but it’s not going to heat a whole bedroom evenly. Works fine if you’re sitting near it. If you want the room warm, get a real heater.
Plug it in wherever the outlet is. Mine is behind a couch with zero windows nearby and it still caught a gas leak from the stove. Window placement is overblown for this thing.
That 179 number is doing a lot of work for a piece of fabric. I’ve got a cheap fixed screen in the basement and the viewing angle claim is really about the screen material, not the frame or the mounting, and gain is the thing nobody mentions in these listings. A screen with any real gain to it is going to hotspot and fall off at the sides no matter what the box says. If the ScryneX material is matte and low gain, side seats will hold up better but the whole picture gets dimmer for everyone. So you’re trading brightness for angle either way. That’s just how projection works. You can’t have both from a $60 sheet of material. Sit where you want, but don’t expect the side seats to match the center.
If the remote is small and slim that’s already half the problem. My experience with these tiny clickers is they end up under a couch cushion or in a hoodie pocket within a week. The fan itself usually has physical buttons on the unit, so losing the remote isn’t the end of the world. You just have to get up to change the speed, which kind of defeats the point of having a remote in the first place. I’d check the listing photos or user pics to see if there’s a slot or clip on the back. If there isn’t, plan on treating the remote like a TV remote and keeping it in one spot. Otherwise you’ll be digging around for it every time you want to turn the fan down.
Heating mode works, but don’t expect it to warm up a whole apartment. Mine struggles once the room gets really cold. It’s basically a fancy space heater for one spot.
Tried it with an old Xbox pad I had in a drawer. It picked it up fine, but the button mapping was all over the place for some games. Not worth the hassle if you ask me.
Rubbing compound gets treated like some ancient punishment on here but I still keep a tub of it on the shelf. Used it on my truck bed last month, half hour of work, scratches gone for good. NuraFix I bought once out of curiosity. Sprayed it on a scuff on the rear quarter, buffed it out, looked great for maybe two weeks. Then it rained, I washed the truck, and the scratch was back like I never touched it. So no, it doesn’t do the same job. It hides stuff. Compound actually cuts. If you want convenience and you’re fine reapplying it every few weeks, go ahead. I’d rather spend the extra time once and not think about it again. That’s just me though.
Mine actually did stretch the leather a bit after a couple months. Not much, but enough that I noticed it when I pulled the card out. So no, it’s not always invisible.
I’ve used mine on garage shelves and it does fine on light dust. You just have to keep the nozzle close and work in short bursts. What actually surprised me is how fast the battery drains when you use it like that. Mine died way quicker than I expected.
I bought mine outright and haven’t touched a subscription. My issue is I don’t trust any of these apps long term, so I’d rather just pay once and be done.
Everyone here is overcomplicating this. The case isn’t an optional add on you have to hunt down, it’s a factory part. Qinux literally lists it as included in the box. If a seller strips it out and sells it as a “bundle,” that’s on them, not the camera. I’ve seen that game with cheap action cams for years, they pull the waterproof housing and sell it back to you for fifteen bucks. Check the official listing, it’s in the standard contents. If some random marketplace seller is charging extra, skip them and buy from someone who ships the whole package. That’s the whole point of these budget cams, the accessories come with it. Snorkeling is exactly what the housing is for anyway.
Anyone treating finger placement like it’s some big decision is wasting time. I got the sizing kit, wore the ring on whatever finger fit, and the numbers looked the same as far as I could tell. If the thing slides around you’ll get garbage data, that’s about it.
If your bag ends up in some other city, you’re not going to see it moving around on a map. That’s just not what this thing does. Worth it for finding a lost bag after landing, not for watching it fly.
I’ve got one in a fridge that’s on the smaller side and honestly the fit was never the problem. The real issue is remembering it exists when I’m shoving leftovers in there. I’d say it’s less about the size and more about where your fridge actually has dead space. The thing itself is pretty small. If you’ve got any spot where a jar or bottle wouldn’t fit anyway, that’s probably enough room for it.
It works fine with my laptop, but I wouldn’t call it instant. Sometimes I have to open the Bluetooth menu and click it again if I was just on a call with my phone. Not a huge deal, but don’t expect it to read your mind.
First trimmer ever and you’re already worried about dropping it. I get it, but the grip really isn’t the problem. If the port is in a stupid spot, just leave it plugged in and tuck the cable so it doesn’t dangle near your pedals. I would not go out of my way to reposition anything. It just sits there and does its thing. If you can close the port cover or push it behind the trim, do that. Otherwise don’t overthink it.
I swapped my old tower fan for one of these and honestly the air movement surprised me. It’s not the same blast you get from a traditional fan, but it’s a steadier, more even stream that reaches across the room. I use it at my desk and it’s enough to keep me cool without the noise.
It’s not like you need to line them up perfectly. I keep mine tucked behind everything and it does the job. Never had a problem with contactless scans since I put it in. Good enough for me.
Tap water is fine. The UV light is just killing bacteria in the bottle, it doesn’t care if you filled it from a sink or a store. I’ve been using mine with regular faucet water for a couple months now and it does what it says. No reason to buy bottled water just for this thing.
Used mine in a train station concourse and a few busy bars. The noise reduction helps but it doesn’t work miracles. As long as I speak clearly and hold the phone closer, it picked up fine. If you mumble or there’s loud music right next to you, it’s going to struggle.
Mine are actually the opposite. People on the other end sound fine, but I keep getting told my voice sounds like I’m talking from another room. I’ve checked the mic placement and everything. Maybe it’s a bit hit or miss with the call quality on these.
Mine softened up too and honestly I figure that’s just what you get with these things. If it still trims the way you need it to, I’d just keep using it and stop overthinking it. You’re probably not pressing too hard. It’s just a cheap surface that does its job for a while.
I had one for about three weeks and ended up sending it back. The vibration just made my dog more excited. She thought it was a game and would jump around even more than when she was pulling normally. The beep did nothing at all.
I think these collars work for dogs that already have some basic obedience and just need a reminder. If your lab is a serious puller that gets locked onto a scent or another dog, the vibration is probably not going to snap them out of it. It’s a light tap on the shoulder, not a wake up call.
The shock mode probably would have gotten her attention but I didn’t want to go down that road. If you’re dealing with a hard puller, I’d skip this and look at a front clip harness or get a trainer involved. This collar seems more for nagging than real correction.
