It seems like the magnet just does its own thing depending on how the watch lands on it. Mine has never clicked in either, it just kind of sits there. I have knocked it a few times during the night and it hasn’t fallen off, but I also wouldn’t trust it if it’s on a surface where it can get bumped easily.
I had it hooked up for a weekend and the picture on my smaller TV looked pretty clean, no complaints here.
Different experience for me. I had mine on a pretty thick carpet in my spare room and it shifted enough that it was annoying. Not sliding across the room, but I could feel it move when I adjusted my weight. Maybe it depends on how much you move around during a session.
I had the opposite experience honestly. Mine sprayed fine for the first handful of uses and then the nozzle started getting a little unpredictable, especially on flat glass. More of a mist on one side and a stronger jet on the other. It still cleaned okay but I wouldn’t call it neat.
Mine is actually the opposite. I had the old Tile years ago and the iTagPro sounds louder to me, especially when I’m in the same room. Maybe the tone is different so it throws you off, but I’ve never had trouble hearing it.
The window thing is overblown. I had mine tucked behind a couch in a room with no exterior walls and still got the main locals fine. Worst case you move it around a few times and rescan, but I wouldnt call it a waste of money just because you arent near glass.
I think people get way too hung up on the surge protection label. I got mine for the energy savings and that’s what it does best. If you’re in a storm-heavy area, get a proper surge protector for the expensive stuff and let StopWatt do its thing for the general steadying. They’re not really competing with each other.
I think they work fine for regular calls. I’ve used mine for a bunch of normal phone calls and I haven’t noticed anything weird about the mic quality. The translation stuff is just an extra, it doesn’t seem to take anything away from basic call use.
I think it really depends on how you like to fly. The phone gives you the live view, so without it you’re basically just recording and hoping for the best. I wouldn’t want to fly mine that way, but if you’re not picky about framing, it’s not a dealbreaker. Just know what you’re signing up for.
I keep mine on a hardwood floor and it’s been pretty steady for me. The one time I tried it on a yoga mat just to see, the numbers were all over the place. I’d say the surface matters more than people think, but the tile should be fine for you.
I kind of doubt it is that directional. I propped mine up on a brick near the back steps and it still kept the neighbor’s cat out of my raised beds. The solar panel is the only thing I paid attention to, just made sure it got sun. I would not overthink the sensor angle.
I tried it with a bucket once and it wasn’t as bad as I thought, but I wouldn’t call it steady. It does that thing where the spray pulses a bit if the hose dips or the water gets low. Fine for a quick rinse, but I ended up refilling more than I expected.
The crevice nozzle is what you want for cup holders. It reaches down in there fine without kicking stuff around. I’ve used mine on the car vents too and it does the job.
For travel I think it’s fine as long as you treat it like a backup rather than something you’re actively watching. I personally just use mine for the peace of mind and it does what it needs to do.
Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it. USB-C is pretty much USB-C at this point. I’ve charged mine with the cable from my e-reader and also with a random one I had in my car, and it was fine both times. I think as long as it’s not some super cheap gas station cable, you’re good. It just takes a couple hours to fill up anyway, so even if it charges a bit slower with a different cable, you’ll barely notice. I wouldn’t go out and buy a special one just for this. I’d just grab whatever’s lying around. It’s not like these little gadgets have some secret charging requirement. You’re overthinking it, just plug it in and see.
