For moss in driveway cracks it does the job better than line in my opinion. Line just whips over the top and the wire actually gets down in there and scuffs it out. It’s not going to make the concrete look brand new or anything, but it clears the green stuff.
I tried mine in my parents’ living room with high ceilings over the holidays and it was basically useless unless I sat right in front of it. Moved it to my normal bedroom after that and it works fine. So yeah, it’s more of a personal heater in a space like that.
Mine mostly gets used for rinsing off the car between actual washes. It’s handy for that since I don’t have to drag out the hose, but I still do the real cleaning with a bucket.
I’d probably skip it if you’re not okay with a possible return. Mine went on but it sat way too close to the wall for my liking, so I ended up sending it back anyway.
I stuck one on my case last week and it’s holding up fine so far. The spot near the charging port is flat enough that it doesn’t lift when I pull it out of my pocket. Curious how it does after a few more weeks though.
I found it drains pretty steadily if there’s any movement happening around it. I left mine running for a full day once and it was down to like 30% by evening, but on a quiet day it did fine. I’d say you can stretch it to two days if the area stays still, but charging every night is the safer habit.
I run mine with the curtains mostly closed, but that’s more for my own peace of mind than anything else. I figure the UV-C is doing its job regardless of daylight, but I like knowing exactly where the light hit without second guessing myself. It just feels cleaner to me that way.
I think it really depends on how much you actually want to tinker with it. I got mine mainly because I wanted something I could just switch on during a lunch break or on the bus without carrying a bunch of stuff around. The preloaded games are a mixed bag if I’m being honest, but there’s enough variety that I never felt the need to mess with the files right away.
When I finally did hook it up to my laptop to see what the storage looked like, it was pretty much what I expected from one of these handhelds. The folders are right there and the names are obvious enough that you can figure out where things go without a manual. I added a few old favorites I already had and they showed up fine. I wouldn’t say it’s a complicated process at all, more like organizing files on a flash drive.
What surprised me is how much time I’ve actually spent with the stuff that came on it. I thought I’d immediately want to swap everything out, but some of the arcade and fighting games have been keeping me busy more than I expected. If you’re the type who has a specific list of games you really want, then sure, you’ll probably want to add your own. But if you just want something to pick up and play, the built-in selection probably covers a lot of what you’d want anyway.
The one thing I’d say is just check how comfortable you are with basic file stuff. If you’ve ever moved music onto an old MP3 player or organized photos from a camera, you’ll be fine. If you’ve never done anything like that, it might feel a bit odd at first, but it’s not rocket science.
I kind of look at mine as a signal to my body that it’s time to chill, if that makes sense. Like putting on slippers or getting into comfy clothes. Whether it’s the electricity or just the routine of it, I’ll take the excuse to feel a little more settled at my desk.
I’ve had mine since around Christmas and the charger has never felt super secure. No click at all, it just kind of rests there. I do make sure the pins are lined up before I walk away, especially if I’m charging it on a table where it could get knocked.
If you already have it laying around, I don’t see the harm in trying it on light haze, but I wouldn’t expect it to do the heavy lifting. I tend to keep separate products for paint and plastic for that reason. The clear coat on a bumper and the lens on a headlight just feel like different materials to me, even if the bottle says it works on both. I’m not sure I’d trust a spray to hold up against UV and road grime the way a dedicated kit with sanding steps does. For a quick touch up before a road trip maybe, but if your lenses are actually foggy, you are probably going to end up doing a real restoration anyway. I would just save the effort and start there.
I had the same worry when I got mine, but it actually keeps up with my thicker shakes pretty well. The powder gets mixed in without me having to stop and shake it, which is the main thing I wanted. It won’t turn it into a super smoothie texture, but for a quick morning shake I have no complaints.

The foam definitely means it’s working, that’s the stuff eating through whatever’s in there. I’ve used it a few times now and the amount of foam seems to change depending on how much gunk is actually in the pipe. First time I used it on a slow tub drain it was wild, but now when I do maintenance on it there’s barely any bubbles at all.
I use mine in a regular bifold and it’s been fine so far. I don’t have it right next to the cards I care about, it’s just tucked in one of the middle slots and I haven’t had any issues with unexpected charges. I think the whole wallet area is covered well enough.
I noticed I was sleeping better before I actually felt comfortable with it, if that makes sense. Took me maybe a week to stop adjusting the position every time I rolled over, but my mornings were better almost immediately. I still flip it around sometimes though, still not sure which end is supposed to go where.
I mean, if surge protection is your main worry, I wouldnt count on this thing for that. Its more of a stabilizer than a shield. A proper surge protector is cheap and does the job without any guesswork. I got mine mainly to smooth out power dips, not to defend against actual storm surges.
I think the spray is overkill if you’re just hanging around the campsite. The light keeps the worst of them off me.
It’s a pretty simple setup honestly. I just pop mine on the controller before I take off and it works fine. I like having the phone there anyway because it makes it easier to frame shots instead of just guessing what the camera sees.
I’ve taken mine into the ocean a bunch of times, not just pools, and it’s held up without any weird glitches. I do rinse it off with fresh water after salt swims though, just to be safe. I’d say it’s fine for laps, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the coating wears down faster than they claim.
I’ve had mine on a hardwood floor for a few months now and it hasn’t moved around much. I was a little worried at first because my chair rolls over the edge sometimes, but the backing seems to grip okay. It does shift a tiny bit if I really drag my feet across it on purpose, but during normal sitting it stays put fine.
One thing I noticed is that it helps to make sure the floor is clean underneath. Dust or little crumbs seem to make it slide more, so I just sweep that spot occasionally.
I can’t say how it would hold up on a really glossy or freshly polished floor, but on my regular hardwood it’s been fine. I don’t think about it anymore, which is probably the best sign.
