Fair enough. I’ll keep mine around for the occasional touch up but I’m not ditching the regular cleanings or anything. Appreciate the input.
Mine don’t bother me when I’m sitting, but I also don’t wear them tight. I see a lot of people cranking these things down like they’re trying to squeeze the life out of the straps. If you’ve got them snug enough to feel the stabilizers pressing into your leg the whole time you’re seated, that’s probably your answer. I keep mine firm enough that they stay put when I walk, but there’s still a little give when I bend my knee. Sitting at my desk for an hour or two hasn’t been an issue.
That said, everyone’s leg shape is different. If yours dig in no matter how you adjust them, it might just be the way the brace sits on your particular knee. I wouldn’t assume it’s a design flaw right away. Try loosening them a bit and see if that changes things before you write it off.
I think the synthetic corks just have more grip, so the motor has to work a little harder. Mine does the same thing, especially with the firmer ones that feel almost plasticky. It has never gotten stuck or left chunks behind though, just sounds more strained for a second. I would not call it a real problem unless yours is actually stopping mid-pull.
USB charging will be part of your routine if the spot is truly shaded. I tried mine in a spot that got maybe an hour of direct sun and the battery drained noticeably faster than I expected. Not a dealbreaker, but I wouldn’t count on the panel doing much heavy lifting.
I ran mine across a 3/8 and a .325 chain and it held up fine on both. The guide sits a bit different depending on the tooth size, but it still got the edge back well enough. For the more unusual pitches you’re probably out of luck, but the two common ones I tried were no problem.
Mine handle regular calls fine, but it depends what you mean by fine. The mic is definitely tuned for picking up your voice in closer range, so on a normal call people sound clear on their end. The issue I noticed is more about the other side. The earbuds themselves are okay for hearing the person, but background noise around you comes through a bit more than I expected on calls. My old pair seemed to filter that out better.
I wouldnt say you are losing call quality exactly, but the experience is a little different. If you take calls in quiet spots, no problem. If you walk around outside or sit somewhere with noise, the person you are talking to will hear more of it than they did with your old pair. Fine for quick chats, but I keep my other earbuds around for longer calls.
Used mine on the oven glass a few times now and it was fine. No streaks left behind once I wiped it off. I wouldn’t say it’s the best surface for it, but it definitely gets the job done without damaging anything.
Took mine to a set of grates that had been sitting since fall and it did cut through the crust, just not all at once. I ran it on high and let the brush do the work, then finished the stubborn spots with a regular scraper. For the price, it beats scrubbing by hand.
Used mine for about three months on hair that’s coarse enough to poke through a t-shirt. The rotary blade handles it fine, but the pulling thing is overblown if you’re not letting it turn into a forest. I clip mine every other day and it’s quick with zero drama. If you’re the type to forget for two weeks, no trimmer is going to feel pleasant.
I wouldn’t spend money on a new set just yet. Sand shifts around a lot, especially near the water, so they could easily turn up next week. Go back once when the tide is out and look a bit wider than you think you need to. If nothing after that, then yeah, call the locksmith.
Mine gets warm after a while too but I’ve never had it just die on me. I figure as long as it’s got some airflow it’ll keep going until the battery gives out first.
Mine stick fine for about a week of daily use, then they start slipping. But honestly, I just swap them out when they get annoying. Not a big deal for the price.
Most USB-C cables are fine with these types of devices. The port is pretty standard, so I wouldn’t overthink it. If it charges your phone, it’ll probably charge this too.
Small rooms are honestly where this thing makes the most sense to me. I’ve got mine in a little den and the airflow is strong enough that it circulates pretty well. My only hesitation is that it’s almost too easy to overshoot the temp, so you have to fiddle with the settings a bit. But no real cold corners in my experience.
I’m about three months in and the filter’s still fine. I think I paid around 15 bucks for a two-pack, so it’s not gonna break the bank.
I just use the regular wide nozzle on mine. Lowest setting and don’t hold it too close. Works fine so far.
It does overwrite the oldest files automatically, so you can just let it run. I’m not totally convinced you never need to format, but I haven’t bothered with mine yet and it’s been fine.
It’s fine for taking the edge off but don’t expect it to actually cool the room down. I just use mine to make the air move around a bit.
Guess it’s just one of those things that varies. Mine’s been fine after a few passes, so probably nothing to worry about.
Mine still beads up pretty well after six or seven washes. Not as strong as day one but it didn’t disappear either.
I just shove mine in a closet and it hasn’t been an issue. The wings fold down enough that it stacks fine with my other pillows.
It handled the oxidation on my old truck fine. Worked well enough that I did not really care if it was fully gone or not.
I think it’s fine, not really something to worry about. The light comes on sometimes when I’m pressing too hard, but I don’t pay it much mind. Seems to do the job.
