I actually got curious about this too because I watch a lot of Thai dramas with my mom, and she refuses to read subtitles. So I tried the translation mode on a couple episodes, not a full movie. For me the issue wasn’t speed exactly, it was that the app kept switching back and forth when the background music got loud, so random lines got translated that weren’t even dialogue. When the characters were just sitting and talking calmly it was actually kind of fun and I could follow the plot okay. Once things got dramatic with yelling or whispering it fell apart though. I still ended up turning subtitles back on halfway through. But I will say it’s a neat way to get the gist if you’re just curious about a scene, not so much for actually watching a whole film that way.
The low setting is honestly perfect for shelf dust in my experience, I just hold it a bit further back so it doesn’t scatter everything. I keep mine hanging in the garage and it’s become my go to for quick cleanup instead of dragging out the vacuum.
I noticed the ring shows up way more if the glass was hot when I stuck it on. Mine came off clean when I mounted it in the morning, but the one I put on in the afternoon sun left a mark. Might be worth timing the install on the new car.
I usually just wait until the spray looks hazy instead of wet and then start wiping. Waiting longer than that has never caused me any trouble either, it still buffs out fine. The three minute thing is more of a guideline than a rule in my experience.
5GHz made a pretty obvious difference for me. I had mine on the 2.4 band for a while and got those little hiccups, switched it over and they basically stopped. Not saying it fixes everything but it’s worth a quick look at your router settings.

I actually disagree with the idea that wireless means worse sound. I’ve been using mine for almost a year now and I honestly can’t tell the difference between the cable and the adapter when I’m just listening to Spotify. Maybe if you have some super high-end audio setup in your car you’d notice, but through regular car speakers it sounds exactly the same to me.

I’ve noticed the scent before opening them, but it’s pretty subtle until you tear the pouch. When I got my first order, I could smell a faint peppermint-ish smell if I held the pouch close to my face, but it wasn’t like the whole package was perfuming the room or anything. Once I opened one and placed it near the garage door, I could smell it more when walking by for the first few days. After that, it faded into the background, which I guess is normal for these things.
I think the scent is there from the start, but you don’t really get the full effect until they’re out of the packaging and sitting in the open air. If you’re expecting something strong right out of the box, you might be a little underwhelmed at first.
The remote is honestly what got me. I can start it from the doorway and not have to walk back into the room to mess with settings. That alone made it feel less like a chore.
I think it depends a lot on what you’re drying honestly. I got mine mainly because my kitchen counter was permanently covered in damp laundry and I was sick of it. The speed thing for me was more about the timer on it. I can put stuff in before work and come back to everything done, whereas with my rack I’d forget about it and clothes would sit there getting that musty smell if I didn’t flip them.
One thing I didn’t expect was how much it helped with wrinkles compared to my rack. Stuff hanging in the closet with the air moving just comes out less creased, especially shirts. My rack always left weird fold marks on things I draped over the bars.
It’s not going to replace a tumble dryer if that’s what you’re comparing it to, but compared to my old rack it’s a solid upgrade for just everyday stuff.
I found that the fit really depends on how much I’m moving around in the first place. If I’m just sitting upright it stays put, but the second I start reaching for things it does shift. I wouldn’t say it’s going to fall off completely, but it definitely moves enough to be annoying. I’ve just gotten used to repositioning it when I get up.
Mine ended up in the fruit drawer just because that’s where the last bit of space was and honestly it’s been working fine there. I do wonder if being lower down makes a difference but the smells have calmed down so I’m not moving it.
I’ve worn mine in the pool a bunch but not for actual lap swimming, more like water aerobics and just messing around. The one thing I noticed is that water gets trapped under the ring and it takes a while to dry out, so I just take it off after and rinse it. Haven’t had any issues with the sensors or battery acting weird.
Mine have been in since I got it and I use it for hot chocolate most evenings, sometimes twice if I’m lounging around. I honestly forget it runs on batteries until something like this comes up. I’d say just keep an eye on it and swap when the stirring starts sounding a bit slower or weaker.
I don’t think I’d call it instant, but mine has been consistent enough for me to trust it. I’ve had it trigger when I walked off without my pouch and also when I left it in the car, both times it popped up before I got too far. You might be waiting a minute or two, but that’s still better than realizing it hours later.
