Had an oil radiator in a drafty flat years back, so I know the slow burn routine. The Coolzy definitely puts heat out sooner, but in my experience it’s more of a you-feel-it-in-the-chair thing than the room actually getting warm. Depends what you want out of it.
400m is marketing math. I’ve got maybe 60 feet of clear line in my yard and it starts getting weird past the oak tree. I prefer a collar that just keeps working when the dog wanders behind stuff, so this one stays on the shelf unless we’re out in the open.
I run mine off and on through the day rather than leaving it on constantly. It keeps the desk area comfortable without cranking the whole house heat. Just don’t expect it to warm up a room that’s already really cold.
Micro-pressurization sounds like a nice label for small holes. I don’t buy that it adds pressure out of nowhere. If your flow is already weak, a new head won’t fix the supply behind it.
For plain talking in a quiet room I don’t think the modes do much of anything. Mine just stays where I left it and I adjust volume if the other person is soft spoken. The auto stuff is fine but it’s not magic.
No subscription on my end either. I’ve used mine on a couple trips and never hit a paywall. The app does want an account, which is annoying, but that’s it.
Angle control is not the weak point on a basic guide, your hands are. If you’re already getting decent edges with the cheap one, the SawShark won’t suddenly cut straighter. The main thing it changes is how fast you get set up on each tooth.
I wouldn’t count on it being a real upgrade over a hose nozzle. It sprays harder, sure, but you still end up doing most of the work with your hand and a mitt. If the hose is getting the job done, I’d keep the money.
Septic-safe on the label doesn’t mean much to me. I dumped a powder drain cleaner down our laundry sink a couple years back and the tank smelled off for weeks after. Not saying SavingStars is the same thing, but I’d check what’s actually in it before trusting the box.
I’d just try it on the carpet and see. If the room doesn’t cool or heat like it did before, prop it up on something hard. Not worth overthinking until you actually notice a problem.
Appreciate the responses, seems like battery life really just depends on your specific setup and how much activity it catches. Guess I’ll just keep an eye on it for the first week and figure out a charging routine from there. Not gonna stress about it.
Wet grass is probably not the issue. Moisture in the charging port is what I’d watch out for. If it still charges and pairs with the collar after drying out, you’re fine. If the screen starts acting glitchy later, that’s the water.
I gave up trying to outsmart the draft and just moved the heater to the corner opposite the window. It takes a bit longer to feel it, but the heat actually stays in the room instead of getting sucked out. The spot right by the desk felt like a waste of electricity.
I’ve used mine on windows a few times and honestly the spray pattern is the least of the issues. It stays fine as long as you keep the nozzle close to the glass. The real problem is the water that bounces off the frame and the sill. Even with a decent pattern you’ll get runoff and mist going sideways, so you’ll be wiping down the frame after anyway.
Streaks are more about how fast you move and whether the glass is dirty enough that you need multiple passes. If the window is just dusty it’s fine. If it’s got grime baked on, you’ll have to go over it twice and that’s where it gets messy.
I wouldn’t call it splattery but I also wouldn’t expect a clean edge-to-edge job without some cleanup. Fine for a quick rinse, not great if you’re trying to do all your windows in one go.
If comfort is your main hangup, I’d skip it. A small mouth and a device like this usually don’t mix well, no matter what the ads say. You’ll spend the whole time aware of it sitting in there. That alone would kill the routine for me.
The whole “thousands” thing is just them counting every region duplicate and hack as a separate game. If you strip all that out, you’re probably looking at a few hundred real titles. But honestly for what these things cost, even that is decent value if you just want to kill an afternoon.
Cellular signal is irrelevant here. The adapter is only talking to your phone over Bluetooth and its own Wi-Fi network. Your phone being in a dead zone for the carrier network doesn’t change that.
Personally, I’d care more about whether you have a decent 5GHz Wi-Fi environment in that garage, since that’s what actually carries the CarPlay data. Bluetooth alone won’t cut it for the graphics.
It throws stuff, that’s just how it is with these steel wire heads. I ran mine along a path edge and it was kicking up grit the whole time. If it’s cutting clean and not bogging down, I wouldn’t overthink it.
Only oil it if you start seeing the wood look dry or grey. I get the whole low maintenance thing, and honestly the beech on these is not like some fancy rosewood handle that cracks if you look at it wrong. I have had mine for about a year now, used it pretty much daily for a while, and I think I oiled it maybe twice. Not because I planned to, just because I happened to have some mineral oil out when I was doing my cutting board.
It soaked it in and looked a bit darker for a few days but then went back to normal. No cracks, no warping, nothing. I wash it by hand and dry it right away, which I think matters more than the oiling. If you leave it wet in the sink or toss it in the dishwasher, oiling is not going to save it anyway.
The bigger thing I have noticed is the wood picks up stains from food if you are not careful. Tomato juice and beet juice especially. That does not affect how it feels, just looks a little worn. If you are the type who does not care about that, then skip the oil entirely. It is not going to fall apart on you. These are meant to be used, not babied. I would say just use it normally and only bother with oil if the handle starts feeling rough to the touch. That is the only time I would even think about it.
Might just be one of those Bluetooth quirks. Apps like that are hit or miss sometimes depending on the phone and what else is connected. If toggling fixes it, I wouldnt stress too much. Annoying, sure, but not exactly a dealbreaker.
Any USB-C cable will charge it. It’s not like they put some weird proprietary port on there. I’ve used whatever cable was lying around and it’s been fine.
