Filters aren’t the issue, but the always-on thing kind of is. Mine sat in the fridge for a month and did basically nothing until I started leaving it running nonstop.
They do fit differently. I used the adult mask on my father in law during a scare last month and it sealed around his face way easier than the old red one ever did. Softer edge makes a real difference when you’re actually pushing it down.
Mine lives on my desk from October through March and I mostly run it aimed at my hands, not the whole room. That’s the part I actually care about, warm fingers while typing. If you want the room itself to feel toasty you’ll be let down, but for a personal bubble at a desk it’s been solid.
Mine didn’t help or hurt the pressure much, but I did notice the flow feels different depending on which spray setting I use. The wider one is softer, the tighter one feels a bit stronger. Worth checking if yours has that option before judging it.

I think it depends a lot on what you’re comparing it to. I’ve had mine long enough that I stopped checking the stress number during the day entirely because it was just making me second guess myself. But I do look at the end of the week and see that it lines up with days I know were rough, just delayed. Like I’ll have a busy Tuesday where I felt fine in the moment and then the ring shows elevated stress all afternoon. It’s not useless, it’s just not a live read on your feelings.
The only time I really pay attention to it now is when I’m trying to figure out why my sleep was bad. If the stress was high before bed, that explains a lot more than my own perception does.
It’s been the opposite for me. I’ve had mine sitting on the patio table while the neighbor’s dog was at the far end of their yard and it still shut him up pretty quick. I never aimed it at him or anything. I think the distance claims are more realistic than people give them credit for.
It does not really forget the phone, it just has lazy days. I have had mine for a few months and it has happened maybe twice. The phone is still in the list, it just refuses to grab it until I nudge it.
Noise reduction definitely helps, but I would not expect it to filter out everything around you. Light scratches in the clear coat, sure, it can help. Anything that catches your fingernail, don’t waste the product. Yeah that sounds about right. With the steel wires being so rigid, they don’t bend like nylon so everything that gets hit just goes flying. I’d say if it’s cutting well and not throwing huge chunks, you’re probably fine to just keep going.
I’ve had mine for about two months now and I don’t oil the handle at all. It still looks the same as the day I got it. Beech wood is pretty forgiving, it’s not like some fancy hardwood that dries out and cracks if you look at it wrong. I just make sure to wipe it down after washing and let it dry completely before putting it away.
I think if you were leaving it soaking wet or running it through the dishwasher, you’d have a problem. But normal kitchen use? I’d say just leave it alone. If it ever starts feeling rough or looking dull, then maybe a little mineral oil would be a nice touch, but I wouldn’t do it on any kind of schedule. Honestly, the blade is the part that needs attention, not the handle.
The heat’s definitely subtle, not a dud. I think it’s more for comfort than deep therapy, kinda like a heating pad you barely notice until you turn it off.

I ran mine pretty much all day for a week straight and the bill didn’t really change. You’re not gonna see a shocker from this thing.
I think it should be fine for light oxidation. I wouldn’t worry too much about messing it up if you test a small spot first.
