Mine have been in my car for about a year now and I still reach for them every sunny drive. The difference for me is mostly on long highway stretches where that constant bright wash just wears you down. They won’t fix a dirty windshield or a bad angle, but for everyday daytime driving I’d buy them again.
I’d hold onto the login info rather than assume it just carries over. My history came back fine after swapping phones, but I had to use the exact same sign-in method, and I’d switched from email to Google at some point, which made it messy. Not the scale’s fault really, but worth checking before you wipe the old phone.
I mostly wanted mine for the bigger stuff anyway, that’s kind of my whole reason for having it. Small gadgets never even crossed my mind honestly. If your charger feels cooler after a week that’s a nice bonus I guess.
Watched a couple K-dramas with mine and it handled the quiet scenes fine. The minute someone whispers or there’s background music it just gives up though. For following the plot that’s usually enough.
Mine never really got comfortable until I stopped fiddling with it, so I mostly left the jaw part alone and just dealt with the weird feeling for a bit. It sorted itself out eventually.
Body heat isn’t really a factor since it’s passive, no electronics to fry or anything. The bigger thing with back pockets is that it only blocks what’s actually next to it. If your wallet has a bunch of cards stacked on one side and the Guardality card is on the other, the cards in between might not get covered as well. I tried mine in my back pocket for a while and it worked, just depends how your wallet is set up. Front pocket is easier to keep it close to the cards you care about.
I got the UVClean a few months ago mainly for the gym bag situation and the cap definitely helps with that smell. It’s not magic if you leave actual gunk in there, but for plain water it stays fresh way longer than my old bottle did. Charging is a bit annoying but I just plug it in over the weekend and forget about it.
I think people overestimate how much direct sun these things really need. Mine is in a spot that gets maybe two or three hours of direct light and the rest is just bright shade, and I’ve only plugged it in a handful of times since I got it. The battery seems to hold onto a charge pretty well on its own.
I think it balances out once you get used to where your hand naturally lands. Took me a couple of days before the weight felt normal, but now I don’t notice it at all.
I noticed the same thing when I first switched mine over. The heating mode does have a slightly different hum to it, not necessarily louder but just a touch more noticeable. I think it’s because the unit is working a bit harder to push warm air around. In cooling mode the sound kind of blends into the background, but in heating I can tell it’s running even from across the room.
That said, it hasn’t bothered me. I keep mine in the living room during the day and it’s not distracting while I’m watching TV or reading. If you’re someone who needs absolute silence in a bedroom at night, you might notice it more. But for regular use I wouldn’t let it stop you from getting one.
I actually think the repellent part does more than people give it credit for. I brought mine to a backyard cookout where the mosquitoes were pretty bad, and I noticed the area right around the light was noticeably clearer than the rest of the yard. People were still getting bitten further away, but nobody hovering near the lantern got eaten alive.
That said, I wouldn’t call it a replacement for spray. It creates a decent bubble around the light itself, but it’s not like a force field covering the whole campsite. I think the key is where you place it. If you keep it close to where you’re sitting, it helps. If you hang it on a tree twenty feet away, it’s basically just a lamp.
So for a weekend trip, I’d bring both. Use the MozzDefense as your main light and keep the spray as backup for when you wander off. One thing doesn’t cancel out the other.
I think people are overcomplicating this a bit. I have mine on the windshield and it’s fine, but if you want it on a textured dash, just get a different mount. The suction cup needs smooth glass to really grab. It’s not worth the hassle of it falling off mid-drive.
Mine makes a decent amount of whirring too, but I figured that was just the motor working. It’s not obnoxiously loud, just noticeable compared to a manual one. I’ve had mine for about two months now and it sounds the same as day one, so I’d say it’s pretty typical for this model.
I used mine from the top of a step ladder and it was fine for me, but I also wasn’t trying to be precise about it.
I wouldn’t count on it being ready to go straight away. Mine had a tiny bit of power but not enough to feel reliable, so I just left it charging while I washed the bottle and filled it. It wasn’t a long wait, but I wouldn’t expect to unbox it and have a full battery.
Mine handles thick hair fine but I’ve noticed it works way better if I trim more often rather than letting everything go wild. I keep it in my bathroom drawer and just do a quick pass every couple days. Never had it yank anything out, even on the stubborn ones near the middle.
I keep mine on a shelf near the window and it’s fine most of the time, but I noticed the range gets worse when the sun is hitting the unit directly. No idea if that’s actually a thing or just coincidence, but it’s something I only really run into in the afternoon.
I charge mine around the same schedule and it seems fine to me. The heat definitely pulls more power so I wouldn’t expect it to last much longer. Sounds like yours is working like it should.
I wouldn’t worry about it too much. That faint smell is just what UV-C lamps do when they run. It’s never been strong enough to bother me and it airs out pretty fast.
I wouldn’t overthink it too much. Mine gets maybe a couple hours of direct light and it’s still going overnight without any issues.
I’ve got an inversion table too and honestly I don’t think I’d replace it with the Back Restore. They just do different things for me. The table gives that full hang that nothing else seems to match for my hips.
Mine’s been on a laptop for a few months and it’s still there, no issues. I stuck it a bit off to the side of the vent just to be safe. Probably fine either way though.
The vents are there for a reason, but I think it’s more about emergency airflow than something you’ll feel working. If you’re still mouth breathing, the device itself isn’t designed to stop that, just to give you some air if your mouth falls open. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
