The wire part isn’t as limiting as it sounds. I just clip the controller to my waistband and forget it’s there.
The trim on my old Ranger had those same light scuffs and the cloth did tone them down a bit. What I noticed is it works better if you go slow with light pressure instead of scrubbing hard, and a quick wipe with a damp cloth after gets rid of any leftover stuff.
Mine actually lasted longer in the garage than I expected, which seems to go against what everyone else is saying. I put one behind some storage bins in late fall and it kept a noticeable smell for close to five weeks. It did get weaker after the first couple weeks but it never fully disappeared the way you’re describing. The only thing I can figure is placement makes a big difference. Mine was tucked in a corner where air barely moves, so maybe the scent just hangs around longer in spots like that. If yours is out in the open or near a drafty door, three weeks might just be what you get. I’d say if the smell is gone, swap it, but I wouldn’t assume they all fade at the same speed.
I got one for my craft room in the fall and it does fine for keeping my hands warm while I work. It’s not going to make a cold room feel like summer, but it takes the edge off if you’re sitting close to it. For a small office setup I’d say it’s worth a shot.
I had the same ring on my old car and it did come off eventually, but it took a bit of rubbing with a microfiber cloth and some warm soapy water. Not something that just wipes away with regular cleaner. I’d just clean the spot before you stick it on the new car and it should be fine.
The main thing you lose is just not having the app tell you what bird it is. Everything else still works. I went back and forth on it myself and eventually just skipped it. I figure if I really want to know what something is, I can look it up after.

It’s kind of a bummer they don’t just throw a small card in the box for the price. I get wanting to skip it at first, but I think you’d end up ordering one pretty fast anyway just so you don’t lose any cool shots from your trip.
The backup is mostly about keeping the sensors alive during an outage, not just the beeping. The screen definitely goes dark to save power, so you won’t see live numbers, but it’s still checking the air in the background. I think that’s the part that matters most if you’re worried about a leak while you’re asleep. It just means you wont get a visual heads up, only the alarm if something actually goes off.
I think the dark room thing is more about safety than the actual sanitizing. You want to be able to tell easily if the light is still on so you don’t accidentally walk in. Daylight isn’t going to stop the UV bulb from working.
Mine never shut off on its own unless it got knocked over, so I treat it like it has no timer. I just got into the habit of pulling it from the socket before I leave the room for good. Takes two seconds and I don’t have to think about it later.
I got mine mostly for the same reason, just wanted something easy to hook up and play without dealing with original hardware and all the cable mess. I’ve had it connected to a smaller TV in the bedroom, so not a huge screen, but the upscaling thing was never something I cared much about. Honestly, I just figured it would look like a retro game on a modern TV, and that’s basically what happened.
What surprised me was how much the TV itself seems to matter. On my older TV it looks fine, a bit soft but fine. Then I tried it on my parents’ newer set over the holidays and it genuinely looked cleaner, not like some magical 4K thing, but less blurry around the edges and the text was easier to read. So I think the whole 4K label is just them covering themselves for people with newer TVs, not some big feature to expect.
I wouldn’t buy it expecting a visual upgrade, but I also don’t think it looks bad. It’s one of those situations where you just plug it in and play and after a few minutes you stop noticing the picture quality anyway. The convenience is really the selling point for me, not the resolution talk. If you already have a decent TV you’ll probably be fine. If you’re the type who notices every little pixel thing, then maybe adjust your expectations, because it’s still retro gaming at the end of the day.
Mine actually sprays fine on glass, but I found the trick is not to hold it too close. When I got right up near the pane, the water bounced back at me way more than I expected. Backed off a bit and it was a lot cleaner.
It took me a good two weeks before I stopped fiddling with it every night. That film is pretty much just leftover product. I’ve had it happen a few times on darker paint where I got lazy and didn’t do that final buff. It’s not a defect or anything, it just means the cloth’s compound hasn’t been fully worked off the surface yet.
I usually just go back over it with a dry side of the cloth and a little more pressure. It clears right up. I’ve also noticed it happens more if the panel is even slightly warm, so I try to do it in the shade now. You’re not doing anything wrong, it’s just one of those things where you gotta finish the job. Once you’ve done it a couple times you’ll get a feel for how long to keep rubbing.
I mean, it’s a light with a bug repellent gimmick attached. I’d treat it as a nice lantern that might keep a few things from hovering right in your face, but that’s about it. If you’re somewhere with actual mosquitoes, bring the spray. It’s not worth finding out the hard way that the light wasn’t doing much.
I think it does, honestly. I tried mine during a first aid class and it cleared the blockage on the first pull. The key was making sure the mask was pressed down firmly.
I keep seeing people worry about size with these little fans and honestly for 10 square meters I think you’re fine. Mine sits on a shelf across from my bed and on medium it reaches me easily without that harsh direct blast. The low setting is more of a gentle presence but medium is where it actually feels like a fan. You won’t need high in a room that size.
Honestly it’s been fine for me. I put mine in for a couple hours at a time, a few times a day, and I only charge it every two or three days. It never feels like a hassle. I was expecting to be plugging it in all the time but that hasn’t been the case.
I think the main thing with the oven glass is just keeping the nozzle moving. I used mine on the inside of the door a while back and it was fine, no marks or anything left behind. The glass itself handled the steam no problem, it’s not like the oven hasn’t seen way hotter temperatures already. I was more careful about the edges where the seal is, just because I didn’t want steam getting into the gap and loosening anything. But the glass surface itself cleaned up really well. I just wiped it down after with a dry cloth so there wasn’t a bunch of moisture sitting on it. I’d say if you already did it and it looked fine, you’re probably good to keep using it that way.
I have a pair and I wear them a lot when I’m out running errands or just walking around. The lenses are definitely clear, so I always keep my regular sunglasses in my bag for the really bright days. I’ve worn them on some pretty windy days near the water and the audio holds up better than I expected. The traffic thing is a bit different, if you’re standing right next to a busy road you’ll hear it, but I don’t think any open ear audio is going to beat that. For normal walking around town with the usual city noise, I can still hear my music and podcasts fine. I’ve had mine for a few months now and the sound quality has been consistent for me.
