Round grates only look awkward because the head is wider than the gap between the bars. I ran into that on a friend’s kettle and the brush kept catching on the hinges more than the curve itself. The curve was honestly the easy part. What helped was slowing down and letting the bristles ride along the bars instead of pushing straight into them. It still took a few passes near the outer ring, but nothing crazy. I don’t think there’s a trick that makes a round grate feel like a flat one. It’s just a slightly different motion. The flat center is where mine always needed the extra go over, not the edges. So if the rim is giving you trouble, that’s kind of the opposite of what I saw.
I don’t buy that it’s just preference. I used mine daily for about three weeks and the hole never stopped feeling wrong, so I sold it and went back to my old one. Some designs just don’t fit your hand.
I mostly care about not having to redo the setup, so I just log in with the same email every time and move on. Last time I swapped phones I had to re-pair Bluetooth, which took a minute, but the data was there. That’s my main preference, low fuss.
Mine have been fine for movies when there’s not a ton going on in the background. Watched a French series last month and the quiet dialogue scenes came through well enough to keep up. I still keep subs on when I can though.
Desk placement didn’t really work out for me. I tried it for about a week and it kept tipping back a little whenever the airflow was on high. Ended up putting it on a lower shelf instead, which has been way more stable.
I made the switch and honestly the difference was pretty minor for me. It’s a bit less wrist effort, but I wouldn’t call it dramatically easier overall. My twist handle never really bothered me, so the upgrade felt more like a nice-to-have than a real fix.

I’d push back on the whole “septic safe” label meaning anything. Had a tank guy out two years ago and he told me the powder drain cleaners are actually harder on the system than people think. Not because they kill the bacteria outright, but because they push a slug of dead gunk into the tank all at once. The bacteria have to chew through that extra load, and if you do it on a regular basis you’re basically feeding the tank a bigger meal than it can handle. I switched to just using a drain snake on the tub when it slows down. Takes five minutes and doesn’t put anything in the tank at all. Not saying the stuff will wreck your system, but for me it wasn’t worth adding anything else to the mix.
I actually checked the language list in the app before buying mine. It is pretty long, but the less common ones are mostly there as basic speech-to-text options. You will find them, just do not expect the same accuracy you get with Spanish or French. The bigger names are clearly the ones that got the most work put into them.
I’ve had the opposite experience, honestly. My laptop picks them up right away, but switching back to my phone can be sluggish sometimes. Not enough to make me hate them, but it’s not as smooth as people make it sound. If you jump between devices a lot, you might notice it more than I do.
My dad has the same issue, though his tremors are mostly from age and not a condition. He never wanted help with his nails because he hated feeling like he couldn’t do it himself. We got him the TrimZa mainly because the whole setup looked less threatening than a pair of clippers.
Honestly, the aiming is still the hard part. The safety guard stops the accidental nicks, which is huge, but he still has to line the thing up with the nail. What surprised me was that the slower speed actually worked in his favor. With regular clippers, one wrong twitch means a bad cut. With this, if his hand jerks, the trimmer just slides off the nail and nothing happens. No damage, no blood, no frustration. He just tries again.
The button is the thing I’d warn you about. It’s not a huge issue, but he sometimes presses it twice by accident when his hand shakes, turning it off right in the middle. Takes him a second to realize what happened. Not a dealbreaker, but if your dad gets easily annoyed by little hiccups, that might be the part that bugs him.
I’d still say it’s worth trying. It’s not magic, but it turned nail time from a stressful event into something he can do while watching TV without needing me to hover nearby.
I keep mine in the car but not in the glovebox. I figure if the mask is in a sealed pouch it should be fine, but the device itself in direct sun all day would probably get more wear than I want. I guess I just don’t see the point of moving it unless you eat in your car all the time.
Good to know I’m not the only one who had questions about this. Sounds like they handle noise about as well as any other earbuds in this range. I’ll probably still grab a pair for trips since the translation stuff is the main draw for me anyway.
I’m not sure why people expect a pouch for something this small. Mine sits on my desk most of the time anyway, and the tips are easy enough to keep track of if you just put them back where they came from. I wouldn’t let the lack of a case be the deciding factor.
The trigger feel is the big difference for me. My old nozzle just opens a valve, but the Jetterix actually pushes back against your hand when the water is on, which takes a bit of getting used to. It definitely hits harder than my regular nozzle, so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed on the driveway. Just don’t expect pressure washer results on thick grime.
I was worried about the same jaw thing before I got mine. It does push your jaw forward, that’s the whole point, so the first few nights feel a bit odd. Mine never slipped out though, even when I move around a lot. I’d say the molding is the key, but it’s not as fiddly as it sounds.

The case thing is a bit of a red herring honestly. I picked one up a few months ago and never had it in any sort of case. It just sits in the inner pocket of my backpack with a bunch of other random stuff. I was more worried about whether the Find My network would actually pick it up when I wasn’t near other people, but it’s been fine. When I’ve needed to locate it, it pops up on the map pretty quickly. The only time I’ve had a slight delay is in a really empty parking lot, but that’s just how the network works. I don’t think the case changes how the Bluetooth signal works at all, it just keeps it from getting scratched up. Mine has a few scuffs now but it still works the same as day one.
I put mine on a shelf in the middle of the room, no window nearby at all. It gets the local channels fine, but I did have to play around with the placement a bit. The window thing seems like more of a suggestion than a hard rule.
Most OBD2 ports have been the same shape since forever, so I wouldn’t stress about it. If the plug fits, it fits. I think people get too hung up on versions when it’s really just the same connection doing the same thing.
I just used mine on some old basement windows and didn’t even bother switching nozzles. Kept it on the lowest setting and held it far enough back, no cracks or anything.
