Epicooler heating vs cooling, anyone else notice one is way stronger?

Honestly I think the cooling works fine for me. I use it in my bedroom at night and it definitely drops the temp a few degrees. Maybe people aren’t running it on the right power mode or something.

I just set mine to cooling and stand right in front of it when I want to feel it. The heating definitely pushes out more noticeable warmth but the cooling keeps my desk area comfortable enough.

I feel like the heating just feels stronger because it hits you directly, but the cooling works fine if you give it a few minutes to settle in the room. I use mine mostly for cooling while working at my desk and it keeps me comfortable enough.

I’d probably just try it and see. If the heating feels stronger to you, that might just be how your body reads it, not the unit being broken. I’d keep using it for a few days before deciding.

I think it’s probably just how heat registers with your body more than the cooling being weak. I’ve noticed with mine that the cool air isn’t super dramatic right away but it does bring the temp down after a bit. Not totally sure if it’d handle a whole bedroom if the room gets really hot though.

It probably is just how heat hits you faster, but I’ve also noticed the fan speed feels lower in cooling mode unless you bump it up manually. Once you do that it moves air well enough for a small room.

Honestly, I think the heating feeling stronger is partly just physics, but also the fan speed might be set differently between modes by default. I noticed when I played with one in a store, the cooling fan felt gentler unless you crank it up manually. Could just be how it’s programmed out of the box.

I’ve had mine for a few months and honestly the cooling works fine for my room. I think people just notice heat more because it hits you right away, but the cold air does its job if you give it a bit of time.
