I have a feeling it depends on the batch or how you hold it. Mine felt neutral out of the box but my roommate tried it and swore it pulled forward. We have totally different hand sizes though, so I think that plays a bigger part than people give it credit for.
Good to know I’m not the only one who plays it safe and waits. I think I’ll stick to my routine of letting it cool for a bit, honestly the thought of hot grease splattering everywhere is enough to keep me patient. Thanks for the input everyone, I feel less paranoid about it now.
I get why you’re asking because some brands really do seem to favor iPhone users. But I’ve had mine connected to a pretty standard Android for about two months now and it behaves like any other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve paired. The first time it took maybe an extra few seconds to show up in the list, but after that it just reconnects when I open the case.
The only thing I’d say is that the companion app feels like it was designed with iPhone in mind first. It’s not buggy on Android, just not as polished. But for the actual pairing and everyday use as earbuds, I wouldn’t stress about it. If your phone picks up normal wireless earbuds without drama, these should be fine too.
The vibration mode is definitely more of a general “hey, snap out of it” signal than a pulling-specific fix. I used mine mostly for the beep to get her attention before she started lunging, and that worked better than the vibration ever did for us. If your lab is super distracted, you might end up needing the higher settings, which gets old fast.
I think after reading all this I’m just gonna try it and see for myself. The mixed opinions are making my head spin honestly. If it’s uncomfortable I’ll return it, not the end of the world.
Mine stays on okay, but I think it also depends on how much you’re moving. I mostly use it while reading and it doesn’t slide much. I tried walking to the kitchen once to grab water and it definitely shifted, so it’s not gonna survive a full day of chores.
I think part of it is just learning where you like the weight to sit. For me, it stops feeling like it’s about to slide when I’m not trying to keep it perfectly centered on both shoulders. I let it sit a little looser and it actually moves with me better than when I had it cranked down.
I’d say the 30 hours is probably if you’re not using it constantly. I do a few hours here and there, like errands and chatting with neighbors, and I’m landing around three days before I notice it dropping. I just pop it on the charger when I think about it, not every night.
I noticed mine drains quicker when I’ve got the Wi-Fi left on, even if I’m not using it. Forgot to turn it off one day and the battery went down way faster than the times I remembered to switch it off before heading out. Might be worth checking if that’s happening on yours too.
I think as long as the solar panel gets decent sun and the front isn’t completely buried in a bush, you’re fine. I had mine propped against a planter for a while and it still caught critters coming from the other side. The sensor seems to pick up motion pretty wide, so I wouldn’t overthink the angle too much.
I get that with mine too but I noticed it happens way more when I haven’t updated the app in a while. I ignored the update for like a month and it got really bad, then after I updated it went back to only being occasionally annoying. Still not perfect, but the update thing seemed to help a lot.
