I had a bulky steam mop before that had a hard time with tight grout corners. The Qinux Vapoxis is handheld so I figure it might reach better, but does the steam pressure actually have enough oomph to loosen dirt in narrow lines? Or am I just going to be wiping it all by hand again anyway?

I think the handheld design does help with reach, especially in those tight corners where a bulkier mop just can’t fit. The steam pressure seems decent for regular grime, though I wouldn’t expect it to dissolve years of buildup without some wiping. For light-to-medium dirt in the lines, it worked well enough for me without too much extra effort.

I tried it on some old grout that was pretty grimy and honestly it did better than I expected. Still had to wipe a bit after but it wasn’t like a whole hand scrubbing session. For the tight spots it’s way easier to just point and shoot than wrestling a big mop around.

Nah, it still needs some wiping on stubborn grout. The pressure is decent for a handheld, but it won’t blast everything out by itself. I just keep a rag handy and it’s fine for the most part.

Honestly, I think you’re overthinking it a bit. I’ve used mine on grout and it does fine for daily grime, but if you’ve got years of buildup in a corner, you’re still going to have to wipe it by hand. It’s not magic, just steam.

I think it’ll get into the grout lines better just because it’s smaller, but the steam pressure isn’t magic. You’ll still have to wipe some spots, especially if it’s old dirt. I’d rather do a little hand wiping than drag out a big mop, though.

I think the shape helps more than the pressure. Getting the nozzle right into the corner makes a bigger difference than I expected.

People keep acting like shape changes everything. It’s still steam, not a pressure washer. You’ll probably still be down there scrubbing the nasty spots.

I wouldn’t stress too much about the grout thing. I got mine a few weeks back mainly for kitchen counters and random spots, but I did try it on a bathroom floor tile line that was looking dingy. It got in there way easier than my old upright, just because you can angle the nozzle however you want instead of fighting with a big base.

The pressure is decent but it’s not going to blast out years of gunk by itself. For normal grime that’s been sitting for a few weeks, it softens it up enough that a quick wipe gets it clean. I think people expect steam cleaners to dissolve everything instantly and that’s just not how it works. You still have to move the cloth or brush along the line.

Honestly, I think the whole grout debate is a bit overblown. Unless your grout is really bad, this thing will handle it fine.
