Thinking of getting Qinux Talkbuds for a trip. They feel light and translation seemed okay in quick tests but I worry about battery on long flights. Offline mode worked for a few phrases when I tried it, but not sure how reliable it is in noisy places. Anyone used them all day or on a long trip? How was the comfort and battery in real use?

I think the “all-day battery” bit sounds a bit optimistic, maybe heavy translation use will eat into it faster than they claim. Not totally sure about offline reliability in noisy spots either.

They feel nicer than the price suggests; not flimsy plastic, earbuds are light and comfy, though the case is a bit cheap-feeling. I’m a bit skeptical about the “all-day battery” claim since translation-heavy use ran mine down faster than expected. Build quality overall felt decent enough to keep using them without feeling like a toy.

Battery lasted an 8–10 hour flight for me when I popped them back in the case between naps. Good for casual travellers who want lightweight, no-fuss translation on the go.

I’ve used mine on a couple of shorter flights and they were fine for music and a bit of translation. The battery lasted the whole trip for me, but I wasn’t using the translation nonstop. In noisy places the offline mode felt a bit hit or miss, but it worked okay in quieter spots. I think they’re probably good enough for a long flight if you aren’t expecting perfect translations the whole time.

Yeah I used mine on a long haul and battery was fine. I just put them in the case when I wasn’t using them and they lasted the whole trip. Offline isn’t perfect but it gets the job done for basic stuff.

Battery anxiety is overblown. I used them on a couple 6 hour flights and never ran out, the case tops them up quick between uses. Offline mode is fine for simple stuff but don’t expect it to handle a loud bar or anything. They were comfortable enough for a whole flight, not like they dig into your ears.

I tend to use mine more for music and podcasts around the house, so I can’t really speak to the translation side either. The fit is pretty light though, and I’ve worn them for a few hours without them bothering me. Battery life has been fine for my shorter listening sessions, but I haven’t pushed them on a full day out.

Thanks for the replies, good to hear other people’s experiences. Sounds like battery is decent enough for travel, which was my main worry. I’ll probably just grab a pair and see how they go on my next flight.

Offline mode is fine for basic stuff but don’t expect it to handle a noisy airport bar or anything. I’d rather just use my phone’s data if I’m honest.
