Derila Ergo vs a regular pillow height question

Honestly I wouldn’t overthink the height thing too much. I switched from a flat old pillow to the Derila and it felt a little tall for maybe two nights, then I got used to it. The foam sinks down a bit once you lay on it, so it’s not as drastic as it looks sitting on the bed.

I mean you could always toss it if it doesn’t work. But I’d guess the foam squishes down more than you expect, so it probably won’t feel as tall as it looks out of the box.

I think once you actually put your head on it, the Derila Ergo does sink down more than you’d expect from just looking at it. I was a little worried about the height too since I’m mostly a back sleeper, but it didn’t feel overly tall to me after a night or two. Not totally sure if it’s perfect for everyone, but it worked out fine for me.

I think people overthink pillow height a bit. If you’re used to a flat one it’ll feel different at first but you get used to it.

I keep seeing people talk about the adjustment period but nobody really mentions how the cooling layer feels when the pillow is new. Does it actually stay cool through the night or is that just marketing?
