Does the Glokore Therapy Mask need to be plugged in while wearing it?

The wire is only for charging, not for wearing. Mine runs about 4 sessions before it needs a top-up, so I usually just plug it in while I’m doing something else. You can definitely walk around with it on.

I’ve been looking at this one too and ended up messaging their support because the listing really does make it sound like you’re tethered to a cord the whole time. What they told me is that the wire is basically just for charging the control pack, and the mask itself runs off that pack once it’s topped up. So in theory you can wear it and move around, but the control pack is a separate little thing you clip on or hold, not built into the mask. That part isn’t super clear on the product page and it’s the main thing holding me back. I don’t love the idea of a dangling pack while I’m trying to do stuff around the house, even if it’s technically wireless. Curious if it actually stays put or if it’s annoying in practice.

Mine has never died mid-session, so the battery part seems fine in practice. The wire is short though, so charging while wearing it is awkward. I just charge it on the counter between uses.

I think my bigger hesitation now is just whether I’d actually stick with using it three times a week. The power setup matters less to me than whether it becomes another thing that sits in a drawer. So I’m still on the fence, but the cord situation isn’t the dealbreaker I thought it was going to be.

I got one of these a few months back and the power setup confused me too at first. Mine came with a little rechargeable controller puck that the mask plugs into, so it’s not truly wireless in the sense of having no wires at all. You charge the controller separately, then when you wear the mask there’s a short cord running from the mask down to the controller. I usually just stick the controller in my pocket or clip it somewhere and it’s fine.

I will say the battery on the controller isn’t endless. I get maybe a handful of sessions before I need to plug the controller itself into a charger, but during an actual session you’re not tethered to a wall outlet. So you can walk around the house doing stuff while wearing it, you just have that small controller hanging off you somewhere. Storing it is easy since everything folds up small. That’s honestly the part I care about most since my bathroom counter is already crowded.
