I finally caved and got the Glokore Therapy Mask and I’m actually liking it so far. One thing I keep second guessing is when to use it in my routine. I usually just wash my face, dry off, put the mask on for 15 minutes, then do my serum and moisturizer after. Am I doing this right or should I be applying anything before the mask? Just wondering if I’m missing out on better results by not doing it some other way.

I do the exact same order as you, wash first then mask then serums. Ive seen people say putting on a thin layer of serum before the mask helps the light absorb better or something, but honestly I tried it once and it just felt weird having stuff on my face under the mask. I think as long as the skin is clean youre getting the benefits either way.

I think your routine sounds fine honestly. I do mine on totally dry skin too and just make sure everything is clean before I put it on. Then I follow up with whatever I normally use after.

Wash first, mask, then the rest of your routine is how I’ve always done it. I tried putting a serum on before the mask once and didn’t notice any difference, so I stopped bothering. The light does its thing regardless of what order you layer stuff in.

I’ve seen a lot of people debate this and honestly I think you’re fine either way. I usually do mine right after cleansing on bare skin too. The one time I tried layering stuff underneath it just felt like the mask was sliding around more than usual, so I stopped bothering.

The way you’re doing it sounds pretty standard to me. I think the order matters less than just making sure your face is clean and dry so the light can actually get through. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I just stick to cleansing first and then moving on to everything else after. It’s been working fine.

I actually do mine a little differently and it’s been working fine. I put on a really light layer of serum first, let it soak in for a couple minutes, then do the mask. I read somewhere that light can penetrate better when your skin isn’t completely bare, so I tried it and just stuck with it. Not saying it’s scientifically proven or anything, but my skin seems to like it.

The way you’re doing it isn’t wrong though. I think the main thing is just that your face is clean and dry so the mask isn’t sitting on top of oils or leftover grime. I wouldn’t add anything heavy before it though, like a thick moisturizer or oil. That feels like it would block the light more than help.

I also don’t think it matters much which serum you use after. I just do my normal stuff once the 15 minutes are up.

I think the whole before or after thing gets way more complicated than it needs to be. I have had mine for a few months now and I just do it on clean, dry skin exactly like you described. I do make sure my face is really clean though, because I feel like any leftover makeup or sunscreen might block the light from doing its thing. I tried doing a serum underneath once just to see what the fuss was about, but honestly it just felt like my skin was sticky when I put the mask on, so I went back to doing it first thing after cleansing.

The way I see it, the light is doing its own job at the skin level and my other stuff is doing something different. As long as I am consistent with it a few times a week, I notice a difference. I would just stick with what you are doing if it feels good and you are seeing results.

I’ve been doing mine after cleansing on bare skin and then layering everything on after, same as you. I did try using a thicker cream before the mask once because I thought it might help the light absorb better or something, but I honestly couldn’t tell any difference. Sticking with your current order seems like the safe bet.

Bare skin after cleansing is the right call. Anything heavy under the mask just blocks the light from doing its thing. I’ve been doing it that way for months and the results have been consistent. No reason to complicate it.

I actually started out doing mine on bare skin like you, but switched it up after a few weeks. I found that putting a really thin layer of a hydrating toner or essence on first made the mask sit more comfortably and my skin felt less tight afterward. Not a serum or anything thick, just something watery enough to soak in fast. Then I do the mask and follow up with my usual stuff after.

I don’t think you’re missing out on anything major by doing it the way you are. The light still gets through fine on clean skin. For me it was more about comfort than results. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in how my skin looks between the two ways, honestly. If your current routine feels good and you’re seeing what you want, I would just keep it simple.

Your routine sounds fine honestly. I think the main thing is that the mask needs to sit on clean skin so the light can actually penetrate instead of bouncing off a bunch of product layers.

I tried the whole serum-first thing once because I read about it somewhere, and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference. Maybe it helped the serum absorb better from the warmth or whatever, but I wasn’t seeing any major change in how my skin felt afterward. So I just went back to bare skin after cleansing because it’s simpler.

The only thing I’d say is don’t pile on anything heavy before the mask. That just feels like it’s blocking the light for no reason. Doing serum and moisturizer after makes way more sense to me since your skin is probably a bit warm and open to absorbing stuff anyway. You’re not missing out on results.

I do mine on bare skin after cleansing too, but I think you could get away with a super light toner or essence under it if your skin feels tight after washing. Nothing heavier than that though. Honestly I think the mask does more work than whatever you put on before it, so I wouldn’t overthink it. The order after the mask matters way more to me.

The mask is designed to go on clean bare skin. I have no idea why you would want to put anything underneath it because that is just going to block the light. You are doing it right. Keep it simple and just do your serums after you are done with the session.

Makes sense, I’ll just stick with what I’ve been doing then. Good enough for me.
