I’ve had a plain tube feeder for years. It gets maybe a few birds a day. I’m looking at the ChirpyCharm but worried the motion alerts will be constant. Do you get used to the notifications or do you just turn them off? Not sure if that’s a real issue or just me overthinking it.

Mine did blow up the first week because every leaf and squirrel set it off, but I messed with the sensitivity in the app and it calmed way down. Now I get maybe 15 or 20 clips on a busy morning instead of a hundred. You can also just mute notifications and check the feed when you feel like it, which is what I ended up doing honestly.

I wouldn’t assume it’ll be constant. My alerts stayed manageable even during spring when the yard was busiest, and the camera only cares about things at the feeder, not every leaf moving in the yard.

I just turned the notifications off after the first week. I still open the app when I’m curious, but I don’t need my phone buzzing every time a bird lands. The alerts were never really the point for me anyway.
