SpyFocus battery okay if left on motion detect all day?

It lasts me a couple days but only if I turn the alert notifications off, otherwise the app itself drains my phone battery too.

I think it really depends on what’s happening around it. Mine will sit there quietly for hours if nothing moves, and the battery barely drops. But the second there’s activity, whether it’s my cat or just sunlight shifting across the room, it kicks on and you can watch the percentage start slipping.

I had it set up near a window for like a day and a half and it was already down to the red. I know the light changes were probably setting it off constantly, but still, I was surprised it didn’t go longer than that. I’m probably going to have to get into the habit of charging it every other day at the most.

For me it depends way more on traffic than people think. I had mine pointed at a spot that barely moved for two days straight and it still had charge left. Then I moved it somewhere with more activity and it needed a top up the next evening. So your answer is probably gonna be tied to how much your camera actually sees, not just the mode.

I get a full two days out of mine in motion detect mode but I also have it set to a lower sensitivity and it’s pointed at a hallway that doesn’t get much action. If I turn the sensitivity up it drops to maybe a day. So it really just depends on how much it’s actually triggering.
