MemberOkay, so I’ve been eyeing the DrFlexa for a while now, and I think I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger. But one thing I keep wondering about is how it fits under normal clothes. I’m not really a gym person, more of a walk-and-errands kind of day, and I don’t want to look like I’m wearing some heavy orthopedic thing. Has anyone tried it with like, regular jeans or work pants? Does it bunch up or show through a lot? I know it’s supposed to be lightweight, but I just want to be sure before I order.

Luis_A91MemberI wore mine under regular khakis for a full day of running around and honestly forgot it was there until I bent down to tie my shoes. The side supports are slim enough that they didn’t poke out or create weird bulges. Jeans might be a bit tighter depending on the cut, but if you size up one notch on the straps it should sit flat.

MemberTried mine with regular jeans and honestly it just felt like a thick knee sleeve, nothing crazy. No bunching behind the knee, no weird bulges. If you wear slim-fit stuff it might show a bit, but normal straight-leg pants hide it fine.

MemberI had the opposite experience, honestly. I bought it mostly for yard work and long walks, but tried it under a pair of looser work trousers once. It wasn’t awful, but I could definitely feel the straps digging in a bit by the end of the day. Not a visibility thing, more of a pressure thing. The silicone grips also caught on the fabric of my pants a little when I sat down, which was annoying. I think it depends a lot on how you adjust it, but I wouldn’t call it invisible. It’s fine for what it is, but I wouldn’t want to wear it for a full office day. I mainly stick to wearing it with sweatpants or shorts now. Maybe I just didn’t find the right strap setting, but for me it’s not a daily errands kind of brace.

LunaMemberI have a pair of slightly thicker joggers I wear them under and they disappear. With jeans they’re fine too, just make sure you don’t have them too tight around the thigh or you’ll feel the strap edges after a few hours. I wouldn’t say it’s bulky, more like a firm sleeve.

MemberI wore mine under a pair of work pants for about a week and the bulk was never really the problem. The straps are what got on my nerves after a few hours, just a little extra thickness around the thigh that I could feel when sitting down. If you’re used to wearing knee sleeves it’s not a big deal, but I wouldn’t call it invisible.

MemberI’ve had mine for a couple months now and wear it under regular fit chinos when I’m out on the weekend. It adds a bit of shape but nothing that screams brace, more like a thicker base layer. The only time I notice it is if I sit for a long stretch, then I just adjust the strap. For errands and walking it’s fine.

MemberIt doesn’t show through my regular cut pants, and I never notice it shifting around.

MemberI’m gonna be the odd one out here. I found mine bulky enough that I stopped wearing it under anything but sweatpants. The side stabilizers pressed into my leg and created this weird outline that was super visible through denim. Maybe it’s a sizing thing, but for me it was not the “disappears under clothes” experience everyone else seems to have.

MemberI wear mine under regular denim all the time and honestly forget it’s there. It’s not like those stiff medical braces that make you walk funny. The fabric is thin enough that my pants sit normal over it, no weird bulges or bunching when I’m just out running errands.

MemberI wore mine under straight leg work pants for a full day of running around and it was fine. No bunching behind the knee or anything obvious showing through. I’d say it adds a little bit of bulk but nothing that would make you look like you’re wearing a medical device. I wouldn’t wear it with super tight pants, but regular fits are no problem.

MemberI’ve worn it with looser trousers all day and never had that stiff brace look.

Tom W98MemberWore mine under straight leg jeans for a couple weeks. The side supports are noticeable if you press on the fabric, but nobody’s going to spot it from across the room. It doesn’t bunch up behind the knee. If you’re wearing skinny jeans, that’s a different story, but regular pants are fine.

MemberI wear mine with regular khakis and it doesn’t add any weird bulk. The fabric is thin enough that it just feels like a snug layer under my pants, not like I’ve got some clunky brace on. I do a lot of walking around stores and it never shifts or bunches up on me.

MemberFor me it was a bit more noticeable than I expected. I mainly wear joggers or looser pants so it wasn’t a huge deal, but I wouldn’t want it under anything fitted. You can feel the side supports pressing against the fabric.

MemberI wore mine with a pair of slightly slimmer chinos once and you could see the outline of the side stays if you were really looking, but it wasn’t anything that screamed brace. The fabric itself is thin enough that it just felt like an extra layer, not a cast. I wouldn’t wear it with super tight pants, but for regular stuff it’s a non-issue.

MemberI sized up for mine so it wouldn’t dig in, and honestly it just feels like a thicker base layer under my jeans. The straps are the only part I notice if I’m sitting weird, but for walking around doing errands it’s fine. I wouldn’t wear it with anything super tight, but regular pants are no problem.

MemberGlad I asked because I was overthinking the whole thing. Seems like the general vibe is that it works fine for everyday stuff as long as you aren’t wearing super tight pants. I’ll probably just grab a pair of slightly looser jeans and call it good. Thanks everyone.
