Do the Qinux Talkbuds work okay with just one earbud?

I got the Qinux Talkbuds recently and I’m liking them so far, but I was wondering if anyone here uses just one earbud at a time. I like keeping one ear free when I’m walking around the house, but I wasn’t sure if the translation features still work properly in single-bud mode. Does it switch automatically or do you have to mess with settings?

It works fine with one bud. No settings to mess with, just grab one and it pairs like normal. I do it all the time when I’m cooking or something and the translation still kicks in. Not a problem.

I have used mine with just the left one a few times and the translation still worked fine. The app seems to just treat it like a normal Bluetooth headset when only one is connected. I mostly do it for calls around the house and haven’t had to touch any settings.

I’d guess the translation works fine with one bud since it’s all going through the app anyway. I haven’t tried it myself but it seems like it would just pick up whichever one you grab. Probably not worth overthinking.

I’ve only tried single-bud mode a couple times myself and it worked just fine without changing anything. I just popped one in and the translation still came through the app like normal. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it.

I just use one most of the time and it works fine. No settings needed.

I like that it works without messing with settings. That was my main worry too. Seems like a decent setup for casual use, though I still wonder if the translation lags more in single mode or not.

I’ve used mine that way a bunch of times and never had to mess with anything. Just popped one in and the translation came through fine.

I dunno, I tried using just one and the translation kept cutting out on my end. Probably just my luck, but it wasn’t seamless for me.

Honestly I’d probably just try it and see. If the translation cuts out with one bud that would annoy me, but I think it depends on which mode you’re in. Touch mode might work differently than free conversation.

I just pop one in and it works for me without changing anything. The translation still comes through fine, but sometimes it feels a bit quieter than when both are in.

I’ve used mine one-sided a few times when I’m just listening to music or a podcast around the house and it worked fine. Never tried the translation that way though, so I can’t really say if it cuts out or not. I’d probably just test it with something simple first before relying on it for an actual conversation.

Good to know I’m not the only one who just pops one in. I tried it after reading some replies and it worked fine for what I needed, so I’ll stop overthinking it.
