I’ve had the PolorVision for a few weeks now, and they’re fine for cutting glare on the highway. But I’m wondering if anyone else finds the contrast boost makes some road signs look a bit weird in direct sunlight. Not bad, just different. Maybe it’s just me.

Glad it’s not just me then. I noticed the same thing on some green highway signs, they almost looked like they had a weird tint to them for a second. Doesn’t bother me enough to stop using them, but I did wonder if I had a bad pair or something.

Huh, I haven’t noticed that myself. I’ve been using mine for a couple months now and the contrast boost actually helps me read signs better in bright sun. Maybe your pair is defective or something?

Honestly, I’ve had the opposite experience. The contrast boost makes signs pop for me, even in that harsh midday glare. Haven’t noticed any weird tinting at all.

I keep going back and forth on getting a pair. The tint thing sounds like it could get annoying, but I mostly just want them for cutting glare on long drives.

Do they feel okay for wearing a few hours straight, or do they get uncomfortable?

Honestly, I think they work great for me. Haven’t had any issues with signs looking weird in the sun they just seem clearer.

I think I know what you mean about the weird tint thing, but honestly I just kind of got used to it after a few days. For me they still do the job way better than my regular sunglasses for cutting that harsh glare, so I don’t really mind.

I think the contrast boost is more of a plus than anything. I’ve had mine for a while and they just make everything look sharper to me, even in direct sun. Not really seeing the weird tint thing, but maybe my eyes just don’t notice it.

I get what you’re saying. The contrast thing does change how some signs look, almost like they have a slight digital sharpness to them. For me it’s not a big deal, just something you notice at first and then stop thinking about. Still way better than squinting through regular sunglasses.

I haven’t noticed that issue with mine. They just seem to make everything a bit more defined when I’m driving into the sun.

I think you’re overthinking it. I tried a pair and didn’t notice anything off about signs, they just looked a bit more defined. Maybe it’s just your eyes adjusting.

Mine look fine. Signs don’t look weird to me, just less reflective. Probably not something worth worrying about.
