Anyone try the Qinux ScryneX outside with a decent breeze?

I haven’t taken mine out in anything more than a light breeze yet, so I’m not totally sure how it handles stronger gusts. The ropes seem decent enough for gentle wind, but I’d be a little nervous if it gets really gusty. Probably fine if you stake it well, but I get the concern about it catching air.

I took mine out last weekend and there was a bit of a gust now and then, but it didn’t really go anywhere. I just used the ropes and it stayed up fine, though I didn’t have it in anything super strong or anything. I think as long as you get it tied down decently you should be okay.

I’d probably just weigh the bottom corners down with something if it’s breezy, like a couple of small rocks or a bag. Haven’t tested mine in anything strong though.

I think it handles a breeze better than you’d expect for how light it is. I had mine up on a fairly gusty evening and it just kind of wobbled a bit without going anywhere. The ropes seemed to do the job fine for me.

Nah, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’ve had mine out on a few breezy nights and it’s stayed put just fine. I just use a couple of bungee cords instead of tape and it’s never gone anywhere.

I haven’t tried mine in anything stronger than a light breeze yet, but it didn’t really move much with just some rope tied to a couple of fence posts. I feel like it would have to be pretty windy before I’d worry about it flying off, but I guess it depends how you set it up.

I think some people just get unlucky with the wind direction. I had mine up on a decently breezy night and it was mostly fine, but a sudden gust did make it ripple a bit. Not enough to send it flying though.

I’d probably just test it on a calm night first before worrying too much about wind. That way you know what you’re dealing with before the breeze picks up.
