    I’ve had a plain tube feeder for years. It gets maybe a few birds a day. I’m looking at the ChirpyCharm but worried the motion alerts will be constant. Do you get used to the notifications or do you just turn them off? Not sure if that’s a real issue or just me overthinking it.

    Mine did blow up the first week because every leaf and squirrel set it off, but I messed with the sensitivity in the app and it calmed way down. Now I get maybe 15 or 20 clips on a busy morning instead of a hundred. You can also just mute notifications and check the feed when you feel like it, which is what I ended up doing honestly.

    I wouldn’t assume it’ll be constant. My alerts stayed manageable even during spring when the yard was busiest, and the camera only cares about things at the feeder, not every leaf moving in the yard.

    I just turned the notifications off after the first week. I still open the app when I’m curious, but I don’t need my phone buzzing every time a bird lands. The alerts were never really the point for me anyway.

    I’m still on the fence about buying one myself, but the notification thing is my main worry too. I keep notifications on for most apps and it drives me nuts, so I’d probably end up muting this one fast. Half the reason I’d get it is the camera anyway, not the buzzing.

    Mine went the other direction activity wise. My old feeder was basically ignored for months, then the ChirpyCharm pulled in way more birds just because it sits higher and the camera angle made me actually notice them. Alerts were never the problem for me, it was realizing how little was happening before.
