MemberSo I’ve had the AiraBreeze for a couple weeks and it’s been working fine. But whenever I pick it up to move it to another room, I hear this little gurgling noise from the water tank. Is that just the water sloshing around or something I should worry about? It doesn’t seem to affect how it runs, just curious if that’s normal.

MemberMine does the same when the tank’s got water sitting in it. I figure it’s just sloshing around in there since it’s not a sealed tank. Two months in and it hasn’t caused any issues.

Mike TurnerMemberSloshing water is normal but that gurgling on movement usually means air is getting pulled back through the pump. Mine did it for a bit then the flow got weak. Not the same thing as water just moving around.

MemberI’ve had mine since early summer and it does the same thing when there’s water sitting in it. I don’t think that part is anything to write off, though. A little sloshing is one thing, but if it’s actually gurgling while you carry it, that usually means the tank isn’t sitting flat or the water is moving around more than it should.
Mine used to do it pretty noticeably when I moved it between my office and the bedroom with a full tank. What I noticed is that it got quieter once I stopped filling it all the way to the top before carrying it. Not saying that’s some official fix, just what happened with mine. It still makes a bit of noise if I tilt it, but nothing that turned into a leak or a performance issue.
The part I’d disagree with is treating every little sound as harmless just because the unit still runs. If it starts gurgling when it’s sitting still and not just when you pick it up, that’s a different story. Mine only does it during movement. If yours is doing it while it’s parked on a level surface, I’d keep an eye on it.
Otherwise, two weeks in and still cooling normally is a decent sign. These things aren’t exactly silent to begin with.

MemberI’d just keep using it and see if anything actually changes. Mine’s been making little noises like that since I got it and nothing’s gone wrong so far. If it starts leaking or the cooling stops working then I’d look into it.

MemberI’d just leave it alone if it’s still cooling fine.

MemberMine started gurgling right before the pump quit.

MemberThat little gurgle is actually one of my favorite things about mine lol. It just sounds like the water shifting around when you tilt it, and it still cools the same after months of moving it room to room.

MemberMine does that little gurgle too and it’s just part of moving it around with water in there. It’s been going strong for me since spring, so I don’t think the sound itself means anything bad. If the flow and cooling still feel the same, you’re fine.

MemberI don’t think the gurgling is automatically a bad sign, but I also don’t buy the idea that it’s always just harmless sloshing. The water moving around when you tilt it is one thing, but if it keeps gurgling after it’s sitting flat again, that’s a different situation. I’ve noticed with mine that the sound changes depending on how full the tank is. When it’s really full, barely any noise. When it’s getting low and the pump is pulling unevenly, it gets that gurgle. So I’d check whether the noise sticks around once it’s settled or if it only happens during the actual move. That distinction matters more than the sound itself. If it’s only while you’re carrying it, it’s probably just water finding its level again. If it’s doing it mid-use, that’s worth paying attention to.

MemberIdk, I’d keep an eye on it if the sound changes or gets louder. Mine was quiet for a while then started making weird noises, but it was just the water level getting low. As long as it’s cooling the same, probably fine.

MemberMine gurgles too when I move it with water in the tank. I’ve had mine since June and it’s still running the same as day one, so I never gave it a second thought.

MemberMine does the same little burble, never bothered me.

MemberI’m still deciding on one of these, so this thread is actually helpful. A little water noise when you tilt it sounds pretty expected to me, but I’d probably notice it too and wonder. Does it only happen while moving it, or also once it’s sitting still?
