Dustaclean okay for stairs or too small?

I prefer using mine without the brush head on stairs. The bare nozzle gets into the corners better and it handles a full flight fine if I don’t rush it. Takes me maybe ten minutes for the whole set.

A full staircase is fine for what this thing is. I do our steps a couple times a week and it never quits on me, just takes a few passes since the head is small. If you’re expecting one swipe per step you’ll be annoyed, but for quick touch ups it holds up.

Mine gets through our steps fine but I do them in two passes so it doesn’t feel like a chore. The brush is small, but that’s kind of the point for edges and corners. For quick cleanup it’s fine, just don’t expect it to feel like a full-size vac.

The size of the brush is the main thing I notice too. I don’t think it’s really about the motor or battery giving out on a staircase, it’s more that the head is just narrow so you end up doing more passes. If you’re only hitting a few steps at a time it’s fine, but doing a whole flight in one go gets tedious just from the back and forth. I’ve used small handhelds before where the shape of the tool mattered way more than the actual suction, and this feels like one of those cases. It’s not that it can’t handle the stairs, it’s that the attachment makes you work a bit harder for it. For quick spot stuff it’s totally fine, I just wouldn’t expect it to feel efficient on a long run of steps.

A full staircase is pushing it. I did our steps once and it was fine for the first few, then the suction felt weak and I gave up. If you’re just doing spots, sure. Whole flight, no.

The small brush is just how it is. You’re not going to cover a whole step in one swipe. I just do a couple passes per step and move on. If you’re expecting to zip up a flight in two minutes then yeah you’ll be annoyed, but for a quick cleanup it does the job.

I’ve had mine for a while now and stairs are honestly one of the main things I use it for. Still works the same as when I got it. I don’t know how it’ll hold up long term since I’ve only had it a few months, but so far no complaints.
