Does Repellio need to be plugged in high up or is any outlet fine?

I think people overthink the height thing. Sound waves bounce around a room regardless. Mine is in a low outlet behind a couch and I haven’t seen any critters since I set it up. If the room is cluttered, that’s probably a bigger issue than where the outlet sits.

I had mine plugged into a lower outlet near some storage shelves and honestly couldn’t tell it was doing anything after a few weeks. Moved it to a higher spot on the opposite wall and noticed a difference within days. Could be coincidence, but I’d lean toward getting it off the floor if you can.

I get why you’d think height matters, but these things are pretty forgiving. I’ve got one sitting in a low outlet behind a bookcase and it still seems to do what it’s supposed to for that room. Honestly, walls and big furniture probably block more than the outlet height ever will.

A basement is usually cluttered, so giving it a little breathing room probably does more than worrying about whether it’s high or low. I wouldn’t stress about getting a ladder to reach a high outlet unless that’s just where you have space.
