Thinking about using the Heater Pro X in my bathroom during showers. Anyone know if it’s actually safe with the moisture and all? The website says it has safety features but not sure about humidity.

I’d probably not risk it. Moisture and plug in heaters don’t mix well long term no matter what safety stickers they slap on it. Tip over protection won’t help you if steam gets into the internals. Just seems like asking for trouble to me.

I’ve used mine in the bathroom a bunch of times, no issues so far. I just don’t leave it running after I get out, personally.

People overthink this stuff. It’s a bathroom, not a steam room. If you’re not blasting it with water directly it’ll be fine.

I’ve been running mine in the bathroom for months now and honestly haven’t had any problems. You’re not exactly soaking the thing, it’s just humid air for a little while. Seems fine to me.

I figure if the website specifically says it’s fine for bathrooms, that’s probably good enough. It’s not like you’re dunking it in the tub.

I’d be more worried about the outlet location than the humidity honestly. If it’s near the sink or tub you’re asking for trouble no matter what the safety specs say.

I’d probably just make sure it’s not sitting right next to the shower stream and call it a day. Most of these plug-in heaters are pretty sealed up inside anyway.

I figure as long as you’re not pointing the thing directly at the shower stream it’s probably fine. These little heaters are pretty basic, they just blow hot air around not like they’re gonna explode from a bit of steam.

I’d be more curious if the safety features actually kick in before any damage happens. Overheat shutoff sounds good on paper but who knows if it reacts fast enough in a steamy room.

I’ve had mine running in the bathroom during showers for a few months now and it’s been perfectly fine. The moisture hasn’t caused any issues as long as you’re not placing it right next to the shower head. I think some of the safety concerns are a bit overblown honestly.

I’d just keep it away from direct steam and you’ll probably be fine. I’ve used mine in the bathroom a bunch and never had any issues with it.

Moisture is probably fine as long as you’re not dunking the thing in water. I’d be more annoyed if the tip-over shutoff is sensitive enough to kill it every time you bump into it. Seems like a gamble either way.
