So I’m thinking about getting the Enence Translator mostly for travel, but I also kind of want to use it to practice pronunciation for a few phrases before I go. Has anyone tried the listen and repeat mode for that? I’m wondering how accurate the voice recognition is when you’re just practicing on your own, not actually talking to someone.

I actually think you’d be better off just using a phone app for pronunciation practice. The voice recognition on those translator devices is okay for basic phrases but not really built for that kind of fine tuning.

I’d probably worry less about the voice recognition being perfect and more about whether the device actually pronounces the words right in the first place. If the playback sounds off, repeating it won’t help much.
