Thinking about buying the LumaGlasses but want real-life input. Anyone used them for phone calls while walking or on public transit? How’s the call quality and mic pickup, and does the battery last a full commute day if you use the voice assistant a bit? Also, are they comfortable for a few hours or do they start to feel heavy?

Been using LumaGlasses for months, comfortable for 2-3 hour stretches and pretty lightweight so I forget they’re on. After about 3-4 hours the nose pads start to dig in and on hot days they trap heat on my temples. Great for short commutes, I switch to earbuds on long days.

Used LumaGlasses on trains and walking to meetings and they’re fine for quick calls. People sometimes said I sounded distant when it was noisy, so I wouldn’t count on crystal clear calls. Battery got me through a morning commute plus a couple short calls but heavy voice assistant use drained it faster than I expected, so maybe top up midday.

Tried them for a week and one thing I didn’t see here: the voice assistant is super reliable in quiet, but on busy streets it mishears a lot so you end up repeating commands. That made hands-free less smooth than I expected, though calls themselves were ok if it was just walking not a noisy train.

Bluetooth can be a bit flaky for me on the commute, especially in subway tunnels and crowded platforms, so calls sometimes drop. Otherwise they’re handy for quick walking calls.

Honestly, I think people overthink these things. I just use mine for quick calls on the bus and they do the job fine, battery lasts my day without any drama.
