Does the DappSmile actually help with coffee stains or is that just marketing?

I got one mostly for the same reason and it does take the edge off coffee stains, but you have to stay on top of it. If I skip a few days the stains creep back pretty fast. It’s not magic, but it’s better than staring at my teeth in the mirror wishing they were cleaner.

So far mine has been hit or miss. It gets rid of some of the daily buildup, but I wouldn’t count on it for anything that’s been sitting on your teeth for weeks. I think people expect it to do way more than it actually can.

I’d say it helps more with the everyday film than anything that’s already set in. I used mine for about a month and my teeth did look a bit less dingy, but it was nowhere near what the ads make it look like. If you’re expecting a whitening effect, you’ll be disappointed. It’s more of a maintenance thing.

It’s probably oversold for what it is. I’d say it’s more for keeping things from getting worse than actually removing what’s already there, and the marketing makes that line blurrier than it should be. If your stains are still light, maybe, but don’t expect it to do the work of a hygienist.
