WineCork Pro vs. my old manual corkscrew: is the noise normal?

Mine makes a decent amount of whirring too, but I figured that was just the motor working. It’s not obnoxiously loud, just noticeable compared to a manual one. I’ve had mine for about two months now and it sounds the same as day one, so I’d say it’s pretty typical for this model.

Mine is definitely audible when it runs, but I wouldn’t call it loud. It has a steady whirr that’s more noticeable late at night when everyone’s gone home. What I did notice is that it got a little quieter after the first couple of weeks of regular use, once the gears seemed to settle in. I’d only start comparing it to a manual one if it ever sounds strained or like it’s laboring on a cork.

The whirring is just part of owning one of these. I got mine a couple months back and it’s always had that little motor sound, so I think you’re fine. It’s only really noticeable if the room is dead quiet, like when I’m opening a bottle after everyone’s already left. As long as it’s not grinding or clicking, I wouldn’t give it a second thought.
