Guardality with a passport holder?

I’d probably skip the Guardality if you’re already using an RFID holder for your passport. The holder does the job for that one item. The card only really makes sense if you want to protect everything else in your wallet without switching to a new one.

I wouldnt say its redundant exactly. I use mine in a normal wallet with a few cards and its nice having that extra layer even if my passport has its own sleeve. Plus if you ever take the passport out or carry other documents, the card covers those too.

I think it really depends on whether you ever take the passport out of the holder. If it stays tucked in there the whole trip, then yeah, the Guardality is probably just doing the same job twice. But I actually keep my passport in the hotel room most of the time and just carry my wallet around, so the card covers me for all my other stuff like my bank card and transit pass. The passport holder only helps when the passport is actually in it, which for me is maybe 20% of the day. So I would say it isn’t redundant if you ever separate them. If you literally never take the passport out, then skip it. But if you’re like me and leave it behind sometimes, the card does pull its weight. Are you planning on carrying the passport everywhere with you?

I get the logic, but I kind of look at it differently. The holder is only protecting the passport, not the rest of your cards. If you ever slide your passport out in a crowded airport line or leave it loose in a bag for a second, that’s when the card would be doing something.

If you’re never taking the passport out of the RFID holder, then yeah, the Guardality is basically a coaster for your bag. But if you’re like me and end up pulling the passport out at every hotel check-in, it’s kind of nice having that extra layer on the desk or wherever. Just depends on how lazy you are about putting the holder back on.

I like having options, so I’d probably get it anyway even with the holder. If I’m being lazy and just grab my wallet to run out, the Guardality is already there doing its thing. The holder protects the passport, the card covers everything else. Feels like a cheap backup to me. 🤷‍♀️

I think it depends on how often you actually use the passport holder. If it stays zipped in your bag the whole trip, the Guardality is just extra weight. But if you’re like me and pull the passport out at check-in or whatever, the card in your wallet covers you for the rest of your stuff when you’re not thinking about it.

The holder only helps while the passport’s actually in it, so I’d say keep both.

The holder does its job when the passport is in it. The card is for the rest of the time, when you’re not thinking about it. I got one because I don’t want to rely on remembering to keep everything locked up. It’s cheap enough to just have it and not worry.
