I have an old cheap desk fan that sounds like a small airplane on high, so I’m finally looking to replace it for bedroom use. The Qinux BreezaMax seems quieter on paper, but does it actually let you sleep with it on medium or high without that annoying hum? I’m mainly wondering if it’s a real step up from a basic bladed fan or just slightly less loud.

I’ve seen a few people say the BreezaMax is noticeably quieter than a standard desk fan, but I’d still be a little cautious about expecting total silence on high. Medium is probably fine for sleeping, but high might still have some airflow noise, just not the annoying motor hum you’re used to.

Old desk fans are usually garbage for noise, so anything would be an upgrade. I’d just check if the BreezaMax has a noticeable hum on medium before buying.

I think the BreezaMax is probably a real step up from a basic bladed fan, but I’m not totally sure about the medium setting for sleeping. I’ve read mixed things about whether the hum is still noticeable at that level. Might be worth trying it out if you can return it easily.

Honestly, I just use mine on low most nights and it’s fine. I wouldn’t expect total silence on high from any fan, but it’s way less annoying than my old bladed one.

I’ve seen a few people mention it’s quieter than the old blade fans. I’d probably just grab one if you’re tired of that airplane noise, even medium is probably way more bearable than what you have now.

I’ve been using mine on medium for a few nights and honestly the hum is pretty faint, nothing like that old desk fan drone. Not totally silent, but I can actually fall asleep with it on now.

I don’t know, I tried one and the medium setting still had a bit of a whine to it. Not as bad as an old blade fan, but not silent either.

I’d just get it and move on. Even if medium isn’t dead silent, it’ll still be way more bearable than that old rattling thing. Low is probably fine for sleeping anyway.

It’s a fan, not a white noise machine. If your old one sounds like a jet, this will be a huge step up even on medium.

I think people overthink this. It’s a fan, it makes some noise, just turn it on low and you’ll barely notice it. Way better than that old rattler you’ve got.

I’ve been using mine on low mostly and it’s quiet enough that I forget it’s on, but medium does have a bit of a hum. Still way less annoying than my old blade fan, and I don’t mind it for sleeping.

Honestly, I think people worry too much about it. If your old fan is that loud, pretty much anything will be an upgrade. I don’t have the BreezaMax, but I doubt the medium hum is going to keep you up.

I got one a few weeks ago and honestly medium is fine for me. Not dead silent but nothing like my old desk fan that sounded like a lawnmower.

I keep going back and forth on this myself, but honestly, a bladeless fan will always sound different than a bladed one—less of that choppy rattling noise. Medium might still have some airflow sound, but it won’t be the same annoying hum you’re used to.

Honestly I think people are way too picky about fan noise. If your old one sounds like a jet engine, this thing will be fine.

Honestly, I wouldn’t overthink the noise thing. If your old fan sounds like a jet, this will be a big step up even if it’s not dead silent.

Alright, appreciate all the input everyone. Sounds like it’s a solid enough upgrade even if it’s not library quiet on high, which is all I really need. I’ll probably grab one and see how it goes. Thanks for the help!
