StopWatt and older wiring, anyone tried it?

I’ve got old wiring in my place too and I picked one up mostly out of curiosity. I can’t say I noticed a huge difference right away but after a few weeks things felt a bit more stable, maybe it was just in my head though. Hard to tell if the age of the wiring really matters with this kind of thing.

Old wiring here too, been running one for a few months now. Didn’t notice anything dramatic but the lights don’t flicker as much when the fridge kicks on. Good enough for me to keep it plugged in.

Honestly it’s probably not that deep. Old wiring or new, the thing either does something or it doesn’t. Mine’s been plugged in for a while and I haven’t had any issues with it.

Old wiring or new, it’s still just plugging a box into the wall. I doubt the copper cares how old it is.

I wouldn’t overthink the wiring age thing. It’s just a box that plugs in and lights up green, so it either works or it doesn’t. I’ve got old cloth wiring and mine has been sitting there doing nothing noticeable for months.

Older wiring is probably the least of your worries with something like this. It just plugs in and does whatever it does, the age of the wires doesn’t change that. I’d be more curious if it actually saves anything on the bill rather than just making the lights in the house a bit steadier.
