d4nielParticipantBeen using Dustaclean around the house for a couple weeks. It cleans crumbs and pet hair fine. That HEPA claim seems optimistic, I still see fine dust around vents and the filter seems to clog fast. Cleaning the filter helps but suction drops sooner than I’d expect. Anyone else seeing dust escape or is my unit just weird?

L_ParkerMemberOne setup note: remove the plastic protector from the filter and give it a full charge before first use, that fixed the weak suction I saw.

MemberI’ve had one for a few months; it’s not HEPA magic but it does quick jobs fine. The filter does clog quicker than you’d expect and a clean usually brings suction back. Good little gadget for anyone who wants a grab-and-go for crumbs, car seats and quick touch-ups.

MemberFeels a bit plasticky in the hand but solid enough for quick jobs, not fragile. Buttons and fittings have held up so far, no rattling. Overall not high-end but not junk either.

LauTopMemberSeems decent for quick jobs. Tap the filter over a bin every few uses and the suction stays better.

JSmithParticipantI have one and the filter clogs fast. Cleaning helps but suction drops sooner than I expected and I still see dust around vents. Handy for quick messes, just not a miracle HEPA.

LiamWParticipantPretty decent for spot cleaning, but it doesn’t get rid of all the fine dust. I still have to wipe vents afterwards.

MemberFilter clogging fast doesn’t bother me, seems pretty normal for a small cordless. I just give it a quick clean now and then and it still handles quick spot jobs fine. Not a dealbreaker.

Maria_BakesMemberMaybe check the rubber seal around the HEPA filter. I think if it isn’t seated properly it lets fine dust bypass and makes the filter clog faster.

d4nielParticipantThanks, noted. I’ll try the seal fix and leave it at that.

Luis_A91MemberYep, noticed that too. It clears the obvious stuff but I still see fine dust afterward. Still handy for quick cleanups though. Not sure the HEPA is living up to the hype.

MemberI think people sometimes expect HEPA on a tiny handheld to perform like a full-size machine and that’s just not how it works. This thing is for grabbing the visible stuff quickly, not for replacing your regular vacuum. I’ve had mine for a while and I never really expected it to catch every microscopic particle. The filter clogging is annoying, sure, but I just knock it out over the trash can and move on. If you’re seeing actual dust blowing back out while you’re using it, that’s one thing, but if it’s just leftover dust in the air after you finish, that’s probably just normal for a small unit. I keep mine in the kitchen for crumbs and it does exactly what I need it to do. It’s not a miracle worker, it’s just a convenient little cleaner.
