MemberI’ve been using the DappSmile for a few days now and I’m curious if anyone else switched from one of those basic metal scrapers. The vibration feels weird at first but I think it’s actually doing a better job on the front teeth, just not sure if I’m imagining it. Anyone else notice that or is it just me?

MemberI get what you mean about the vibration feeling weird at first. Took me a couple days to stop thinking it was gonna do something weird. But honestly I think it does get into the gaps way better than the manual ones, especially around the bottom front teeth where I always miss stuff.

MemberI switched from a manual scraper too and yeah the vibration is definitely weird at first. But after a few days I stopped noticing it and my teeth do feel smoother than with the old metal one.

MemberI used a manual scraper for years and the DappSmile took a minute to get used to, but honestly I don’t think it’s that deep. It cleans fine, the vibration is whatever, and my teeth feel the same either way. People overthink this stuff.

MemberThe LED light is actually what sold me on it. Being able to see back there clearly makes a bigger difference than I expected.

MemberThe vibration didn’t really bother me honestly. I never used a manual scraper so I can’t compare, but the LED light is the main reason I’d keep using this thing. Helps me actually see what I’m doing back there.

northshoreParticipantI’d probably just stick with it for another week or so before deciding. If it’s doing a better job on the front teeth that’s already a win in my book.

MemberI mean, if it’s working on the front teeth that’s probably the easiest spot to tell. I wouldn’t overthink the vibration thing, it’s just a tool.

MemberIt’s really not that deep. The vibration is just how it works, you get used to it after a couple days.

MemberI noticed the vibration thing at first too but now I barely even think about it. Honestly I just switched to the soft mode for a couple days and that helped me get used to it without feeling like I was gonna chip a tooth or something.

Lisa BassMemberI think the vibration thing is just one of those features you either get used to or don’t, but I’m not totally sure it makes that much difference on the front teeth either way.

SarahMParticipantI dunno, I feel like the manual scraper is fine for me. The vibration on the DappSmile just feels like it’s buzzing against my teeth more than actually cleaning them.

MemberI switched to the soft mode pretty quickly and that helped a lot with the weird buzzing feeling. The LED light is actually what sold me, makes it way easier to see what I’m doing back there.
