Thinking about picking up a GrillWizz but wondering about the battery if you run it on the highest setting most of the time. Is it significantly less than the 90 minutes they claim or still decent for a couple of grills?

I’ve been wondering the same thing honestly. I feel like running anything on the highest setting is gonna drain it faster, but I’m curious if it still gets through a couple of grills before dying. I clean mine after every cook so I’m worried I’d be charging it all the time.

Honestly, I doubt anyone gets close to 90 minutes on high. That number is probably for the lowest setting with zero resistance.

Kind of doubt you’ll get a full 90 minutes blasting it on high. I’d just assume you’re looking at less than that and plan around it.

I feel like people overthink the battery thing. It’s a grill brush, not a power tool you use for hours. Even if it cuts in half you’d still have plenty of time to clean a couple grates before it dies.

I think you’d still get through a couple of grills on high, it just probably won’t last a full cookout session if you’re scrubbing the whole time. Not totally sure how much it drops, but for a quick clean it should be fine.

Running it on high the whole time, you’re probably looking at closer to 45-50 minutes than 90. Still enough to clean a couple of grills if you’re not scrubbing for ten minutes straight on each one.

I just use mine on high and it usually gets me through a couple grills. Never timed it, but it’s never died on me mid-clean.

I doubt the 90 minutes is real for high speed. I’d guess you get maybe half that if you’re actually scrubbing hard grates. Still fine for a quick clean after cooking though.

I’d say you’re fine for a couple grills on high. I use mine like that and it’s never quit on me before I’m done cleaning.

I’d guess the 90 minutes is probably on the lowest setting. High speed drains it faster for sure, but for cleaning a couple grills it should still be fine.

Honestly, I wouldn’t overthink it too much. I run mine on high most of the time and it gets me through a couple of grills without dying. Never actually timed it myself, but it’s never let me down mid-clean.

I haven’t timed mine on high exactly but it’s always made it through a full cleaning session without dying. The 90 minute claim is probably on low speed but for a couple grills on high it should be plenty.

I’d say the battery is fine for a couple grills on high. I’ve never had mine die before I was done, but I’m not really timing it either. Probably not hitting that 90 minute claim though.

I think people overthink the battery thing. I run mine on high all the time and it’s always gotten me through a couple of grills without any issues.

I usually run mine on medium and it lasts fine for a whole session, so I’d guess high would still get you through a couple of grills unless they’re really caked on. Not totally sure about the exact runtime though.

I figure if you’re mostly worried about it dying mid-clean, you’re probably fine. I’d just charge it up before you start and not overthink it.
