ClairLite placement for a cluttered room – does it matter?

I’d probably just run it anyway. Even if some spots are blocked, the UV that does hit surfaces is still doing something. Better than nothing, and you can always move it around.

I’d still go for it. Even with furniture in the way, the UV is bouncing around a bit and hitting whatever it can reach, so it’s not like it does nothing. You’re probably not going to notice the difference between a perfect empty room and a mildly cluttered one anyway unless you’re really testing it.

I’ve got a pretty cluttered living room too and I still notice less dust and odors after running mine, even with stuff in the way. Not totally sure it’s hitting every corner, but seems to help the air enough for me.

Honestly, if the air still gets cycled through it and some surfaces are getting hit, that’s still doing more than I’m doing by just ignoring the clutter. I’d probably grab one anyway and just move it around to different spots over a few days if you’re really worried about it.

I kind of see it the other way. If the room is that cluttered, I feel like you’re just paying extra to zap a few inches of floor. Not convinced that’s worth it.

I mean, if the clutter is really bad you’re probably not getting much direct UV on the surfaces behind the couch or whatever, but the air still gets cycled through. I’ve got a pretty full room myself and it still cuts down on musty smells and static air. So it’s not useless, just maybe not hitting every single corner.
